Come on! I don't need validation from an mba :D.

I always observed that probability is very counter intuitive to people. I am used to explaining stuff like this. This is actually Basic undergrad probability.

Of course. Why would we post here if every now and then we don’t show off with our knowledge in an area, like big dick competitions.

I was just joining the "these are my credentials" party ;).

As a side note, when you are building internet products which rely on probabilistic reasoning, the "mathematically" correct solution might not be the way you want to present the solution to people - precisely because, as you say, it can be counterintuitive. I had endless back and forth discussions with my Math PhD team members about this...had to pull rank in the end.

Exactly! They traded for Sabonis, who I compare favorably to Sengun; same height, same length, playing style, etc.

And I think that's why Indy kept Turner and traded him, because he is limited defensively. As I have been saying, both are good players, all -stars BUT they will only get you so far, because of their lack of length and their ability to be a true shot blocking defensive presence.

Another example is Boston. They trade for Porzingas because Horford is too small to man the paint. And if you go back and look, I have been saying the perfect fit for Sengun is a Wemby or Chet.

Offensively is where Sengun and Sabonis shine the most and the only "Offensive team" that I have seen win a championship is GS. And Steph Curry is not on Sac and he sure isn't on the Rockets.

Don't worry, we all know that there are lies, damn lies and statistical lies. Lots of people studied statistics in a certain period of life but not all people know how to handle the facts.

We have a poster in this forum, wonderful for collecting datas and the worst to analyze them.

I have a team member from Turkey who is based in London. He explained to me that the people of Turkish origin in the UK are much better educated than the people of Turkish origin in Germany (and what the effect of that is on their voting behaviour). I guess the UK did a much better job historically of choosing whom to allow to immigrate.

It is immigration without a proper Integration plan, there should be an incentive to integrate from the countries allowing them in, to protect the society they live in now.

Germany needed workers to work in the factories. The educated people of Turkey did not show much interest in that naturally. It is a similar situation with the US, turks in the us are generally well-educated historically because most come for high education here.

In an unexpected turn of events, the erdogan regime made the country unbearable for all people almost regardless of social and economic status. That resulted in a new wave where highly educated people like doctors, engineers to immigrate to Germany (along with other countries but germany is very popular), and people with no education to immigrate to the US by crossing the border illegally from Mexico.

This is a little bit offensive! Did you hear anyone asking you when Germany would have a Chancellor named Rishi Sunak or insert a Turkish name? Before discussing British immigration laws/processes versus German ones, we need to ask ourselves when Germany was great in integrating its minorities to its general population. Stay in the sports topic!
