It only affected a handful of the better prospects, and basically all of them were pissed about it - and rightfully so. Kris Bryant was livid and kind of forced the issue on MLB ultimately changing the rules.

Pretty big that he got another option and even bigger that Brown announced he’s a RP. They’re going to get something out of him this season, even if it’s just a few dozen 99mph FB over a handful of innings of low leverage. Has a ceiling as high as any RP in the game.

Jon Heyman mentions in his most recent winter meetings report that the Astros are interested in Jordan Hicks

Honestly, this would be huge if this could work. I know it's a big IF.

    Hope they get this guy.

Hicks/Abreu bringing the heat, followed by Pressly slamming the door.

Yimi maybe. Baez without a doubt.

But overall Click did great with the bullpen

I seriously doubt the rangers are going to be out bid on any relief pitchers they want.
Especially any that the they are interested in along with the Astros.

Brewers have extra OF now that Chourio will be in the majors. I doubt they’d trade Frelick but Garrett Mitchell might be an interesting target. LHH that can play CF and hits the ball hard (although he hasn’t hit very many HR). I would be willing to give up Urquidy for him and a throw-in prospect like Freddy Zamora.

Yea Jones would be great but he isn't available. That's why I brought up O'Neil, and while he certainly is better vs LHP, if you go back to his last fully healthy season he had a .888 OPS vs RHP, so we aren't talking about a guy who simply bashes Lefties and is lost vs RHP like our current options. Dude hit 27 HR's vs RHP two years ago.

I would rather not move France or Urquidy unless this magical guy is available that Crane would go into the tax for. I'll believe that when I see it, and until we add that top pitcher to the staff, we need all the SP depth we have in my opinion

Great plan when you have players on the farm ready to step in to those roles

We have a few lotto tickets for the OF to replace Tucker and not even that at 3B to replace Bregman

I bet Brown is able to replace them.

Thing is a guy like Dezenzo could be the heir apparent to Bregs in 2 years. It appears that he's really improved over the last year.

Please let this happen, so we can stop this nonsense about bringing the worst catcher in baseball back. One that will lobby everyday to catch Verlander and Valdez and outdo the legendary Mendoza line into the Maldonado line (.190)
