I think it was 7 weeks, but he tore a ligament in his ankle too. He came back to play in the Superbowl. He actually had a great game but they lost.

Great, so you're saying there's a chance Tank comes back this year when the Texans are in the Superbowl?

Who knows how quickly Tank can heal. I'd say anything is possible, and that means Superbowl too.

Welp THAT is why little dudes get squashed in the NFL. Man how infinitely annoying that the scheme called for a 165lb guy to help block on DL. SMH.

This sucks. I was worried about a guy his size getting hurt in the NFL, but honestly if he had an additional 40 lbs of muscle and 4 inches I imagine that fibula still snaps the way he got twisted up. I'd have to go back and check but it does feel silly to have a guy like him anywhere near a big pile up like that, but maybe that wasn't really the intent of the blocking scheme and Tank got in there because he was trying to help. I don't remember how he initially lined up.

Have they tried having CJ lay hands on him?

Tank isn’t coming back this season. Not happening. At least folks now realize he is the real deal. Can’t wait to see him back next season with plenty of motivation

    I'm not so sure.

    1) the wild card round is 6 weeks to the day from the time of the injury and a broken bone is typically a 6-8 week recovery

    2) the fibia bears relatively little weight

    3) the severity of the break can vary

    4) tank is barely 24 years old

Not saying it's likely, but it's certainly possible.

It isn’t happening. He’s not going to risk it. It’s easy for folks on the outside to give a it’s possible scenario but he won’t be taking the field again this season. He has his entire career ahead of him and it literally just got started

If he feels like he can, and really wants to play in the playoffs bad enough you never know. Personally, I doubt he is healed enough, but I don't know the severity, or how quickly his body can heal. He's young and healthy. Some guys practically have to be forced not to play.

different plays/scenarios but last night Isaiah Pacheco was about to get his leg snapped like Tank but he quickly drew in his legs and straightened his body out. two more seconds and he might have been out for the season. they replayed this during the game too. I wonder if players are taught this?

Dont want him rushed backed with a tape job on his ankle. Do the long term, permanent solution. Sounds like texans agreed since he already had the surgery

This season was never really about making playoffs much less winning in the playoffs
Ofcourse this is a happy surprise and I'll take it but I don't want us to rush our young players (esp someone who will be injury prone due to his size) just for a playoff game.

don't bring him back. let that injury heal the ROS and the offseason. We'll see him at 2024 OTAs

Not many players have mastered the Flying Teabag technique. Tank has.

We just need to take this as an opportunity to get a more extended look at Metchie and Hutchison. Which could be good if Noah Brown ends up going elsewhere this offseason after flashing some huge games this year. Metchie hasn't done much for me so far but every once in a while Hutchison does something...so I'm hoping he takes hold of the opportunity with more reps.

It’s just a broken bone. Bones heal. He could realistically come back in six weeks.
