I am expecting a great jump by the Houston Rockets. I believe we have at least 6 great scorers on this team.
I still expect about 50 wins.
If less than 45 wins I believe the team will be dreadful . I am a fan with great hope for a return to a winning season. Y

All that money spent just to be a team that barely wins 30 games? That would be an utter failure

winning is top priority[in order to pay rookie extensions :D:D:D:D]

experiencing/developing by way of winning... even if only from team practice and watching from the bench - it would still be a great learning process for the young guys.. being a member of a winning team is part of [internal] growth

Turns out that letting one of the worst coaches in recent NBA history teach a bunch of young guys bad habits early in their careers does not lend itself to winning future games. Imagine that.

Defense wins championships but you got to have a Top 10 Offense first to get into a very good Seed first.

Udoka is doing the opposite, trying to have a Top 8 Defense with a Top 28 Offense and budget friendly shooters.

The Modern Day JVG without Yao and Tmac but with FVV and Dillon Brooks.

All the "defense wins championships" people were noticeably silent last June. The Nuggets did just enough defensively when it mattered and otherwise were built around their unsolvable, Jokic led offense.

Tonight' game will be indicative whether Rockets will be over or under 0.500 team. I hope we will beat soulless Kings and will finish the season as 0.520-0.550 team.

bump because there seems to be a lot of delusion currently to what were the expectations for this year and what has materialized thus far in the season.

    Yep, I voted 33-36 wins.

If that poll were today, I'd say 41-44.

On the right track so far...40 plus most likely a real goal. 50 would be bananas

minor bump: while it was nice to get that hot season start; looks like the team's winning ratio is regressing to original pre-season expectations.

At this point, focus is less on wins and asking for close losses (instead of blowouts). If losing, can the guys show individual and team improvements.

I voted 41-44 wins and that's still possible. Anything less than that and changes will definitely need to be made - new GM and/or trading off some recent high draft picks for stronger vets. The win-loss record is a direct correlation to the young core's growth.

The expectation was anyone over Silas would be upgrade and Ime is really a good coach.

But unfortunately he is not a great coach, a certain upgrade but not "Johannes Presbyter".

He generally sleeps at the end of 3rd quarters and does not wake up during the first three minutes of the fourth. Rockets loses the games mainly at that period.

Lakers game was there to give away and he gave them at the second. When AD was out there was a chance to increase the lead. Instead he watched 31-8 run without any action. Welcome Silas version 2.0

Blaming the players are OK but the HC was worse than average Rox player during the last 3 games. To be outcoached by Darwin Ham and to be ejected is a real success.

Tari is not getting enough playing time, Cam is behaving like Josh Christopher during limited playing time, Jeff Green was trying to be Houston's Tony Snell (11 minutes, zero points, 3 fouls , 1 reb, 2 TO, minus 12) and the coach was watching, only from better seat.

If Ime is only that good the team will hover around 0.500, if he stops to sleep at the end of 3rds we will have 45+ wins.

    Simple.

    Still standing on 41-44
    We got 20 already
I think we win more in the second half than the first
    barring injury
