I’m fine with the Easterby stuff and the baby mamas, but are we really still whining about the inmates prison comment? Full disclosure I honestly thought that was the saying, asylum is just such an underused word, I feel like it was an accident. But then people run with it so hard because it gets clicks and ppl like you will never let it go. Never mind that his GM and close family friend was black.

Not true. Caleb is 6'1'' and will be #1. I think 6'0'' will be the minimum height, but that player will have to be "special".

Whoever drafts Caleb better have Dr Melfi, a security blanket, a binky and service dog available for him round the clock.

Williams' maturity and arrogance are red flags. He needs to go to the right organization. The problem is the Bears and Cards are not the most stable places.

If I got drafted by Chicago I'd totally pull an Elway

I feel bad for Bryce Young, he was always a good guy in college and he's in a horrible situation (Panthers is the new Texans)

Yeah, the old long-time business saying was "inmates running the prison" and it had no racial (or even prison) meaning at all (Old McNair was an old man who said a dumb thing in a very, very dumb situation where it could be interpreted as something else)

Cal seems to be a somewhat "hands-off" owner, which is nice.

bryce was never gonna work in the nfl. He is too small and not as quick as some nfl draft experts thought.

The Panthers are going to swing for Ben Johnson, hit a bad foul and end up with BoB since he ‘is best for Bryce’

I think that perhaps McNair's comment was viewed in light of this incident here:

How awesome is it that BOB without Brady is part of the worst Pats team I can remember. No way he gets another HC chance, he’s lucky he was allowed back in the NFL and that’s gone terribly.

BOB probably thought going back to the Pats this year would be a stepping stone to another NFL HC job because Mac Jones could only improve from last year.

    Oh well.

If I were a young coaching candidate like Johnson or Slowik, or even someone like BOB who probably doesn’t have more than one final HC opportunity, I’d want absolutely nothing to do with the Carolina job. Sure, worst case you go there and you get fired after a couple seasons and end up with a nice fat guaranteed contract for the next several years. But along with that comes a soiled reputation and very low chances you’ll ever get to be a HC again. Guys can’t be too picky when interviewing for HC gigs, but they also can’t take a job just for the sake of it. I wouldn’t touch the Panthers job with a ten foot pole.

While I agree with you on the premise, one could argue that’s what the Texans job looked like, prior to this year. Although not having a first round pick is tough. Maybe the year Culley came haha.

Dane Brugler from the Athletic said a week or two ago even Stroud would struggle over at the Panthers.
