The way Ausar is performing gives me a lot of hope regarding Amen. Hopefully his intangibles are as good as his bro.

I do thinknhe is top 5 on the team and top 100 in the NBA right now, just MY opinion.

But like I keep saying, he is a boderline All - Star, not great, not someone you can win a championship with.

And I've always thought if he is so dominant, like the SOFs say, why are we so concerned about getting a backup center. When we had Hakeem and Yao, we never worried about backup center until they got hurt.

We need a backup center, because when Alpi leaves the floor everything goes to sh*t.

No, I’m saying our backup center’s were better with Hakeem and Yao. Also the game has changed considerably (by rule changes mostly).

If I am being totally honest, then past Centers and bigs were preferable.

Ausar doesn't deserve to waste away on the Pistons. I hope by the time they are ready for extensions they'll take discounts to play together in Houston.

Ausar has established a decent stat line, save that 3pt %. 11p/9r/3a with 2 stocks, 2 to's. 30mpg though and he's a natural glue guy. He's just playing the same role where Amen, I believe, is having to learn how to be that glue guy first. Rockets have FVV running the show at guard, and the pecking order on the Rockets is a bit more dense than the Pistons. Given the early injuries, the progression Amen has to make comparatively, I think a lot of folks are going to have some "should've drafted Ausar" garbage to say later this year. We got our guy though, we need him to stay healthy but I think Amen is going to be a star.

I think the rules actually help players more now. I know we can't actually tell, by the recent Dreymond Green choking, Lol but the game was more physical then. So, players now have more freedom to roam in the paint.

Even if he doesn't become a star, I think there's plenty of room on this team for something in between Rondo and Iggy. Just an amazing team player who does everything at a very high level except scoring (and is still somewhat of a scoring threat)

Reasonable take. I think the rule changes have made it more of a perimeter game, especially the proliferation of 3 pters. I like watching both offense and defense, so I would really like to see the refs call it like the playoffs (save for the preferential treatment) throughout the season.

I don’t think anyone knows who will be the best of the twins, but I’m excited to see Amen back on the floor. He’s really been snake bitten since being drafted. But he’s in such a better situation than Ausar. Unfortunately Ausar is gonna have a similar experience to the 2022 rockets.

Not sure why people are trying to study pictures on Twitter--we have their actual measurements from the combine

They are the same height without shoes, 6'5.75", but Amen has a 3.5" longer wingspan. Cam's flat hairstyle makes him look shorter and Amen's fro makes him look taller.

Never look at the hair. It's the shoulder to shoulder comparison to judge height

In Amens only games before his injury it looked like he forgot how to dribble, I was shocked because people called him a POINT guard. The only thing he was POINTING to was the opposite team after he dribbled off his FOOT.
