The more you spit the more foolish you look.

Especially coming from the Porter supporter.

    Crack up!

His percentage is better from 3pt line this season (.360 this season, .338 last season) but he takes 1 less shot so did he get better or not?

"Bust" top 5 games last year
That's exactly why the people calling him a bust are idiots. He hasn't shown "star flashes" he's shown legit "superstar flashes." His top 10 statlines from last year are not the sort of numbers you see from average players or busts, they're legit incredible games. If Ime's the coach we all think he is, he can bring the consistency at LEAST to all star level.

I disagree at looking at his numbers from last year and drawing ANY conclusions. Non legit stars often put up fantastic numbers when they’re given the ability to do whatever they want without repercussions, ie no defense or team ball. I haven’t seen “superstar flashes” because it’s mostly just been “in the zone” shooting. There’s been a lot of great shooters that go off over the years and many of them weren’t even all stars

He's been crushing it on defense this season, but since we're missing a starting rim protector, it's impossible to notice. I see Jalen as this Kobe-type powerhouse who's super athletic and has an insanely quick first step.

Porter is a better basketball player than Green - but he isn't a Rocket anymore - you really need to let your hatred go.

I noticed Jalen totally shut down Murray in that last game. But we blew it because Jokic was sinking shots left and right. People are ragging on Jalen’s defense just because our center (#28) couldn’t handle guarding the fat dude from Serbia. it's not really on Jalen to guard him, right?

Really? I didn’t notice any of that… I saw some good defensive hustle. But never saw him shut down Murray …

And yes, that “fat dude from Serbia” who’s won multiple mvps, a ring, and is considered one of if not the best player in the world right now. POS Sengun is trash…

    were you being silly?

Hate to break it to ya, but so far this year, the numbers show Green has been just as good as Porter last year and that's with him being wildly inconstant.

I defended KPJ a lot on this forum before recent events, but to be clear, he was never THAT good. He never averaged more than 6 assists, which is really bad for a point guard. He never averaged 20 points. His best TS% was .565. And he was really bad on defense — Jalen has been way better of defense this year than KPJ (112 defensive rating v. KPJ’s 120 last year).

Yah, because he wasn’t a point guard. That was a failed experiment. He’s a SG or SF. And yes, Greens defense has improved, probably due to coaching and expectations. Why wouldn’t you assume the same improvement from KPJ? Why would you compare this year to KPJs last year? It’s not comparable.

What do you think this proves? KPJ isn’t playing. So you can’t compare them equally. You can only compare Green last year to KPJ last year. Of course Greens numbers have improved. We have a coach and team that actually demands defense. KPJs defense would almost certainly have seen improvement. Ultimately Jalen is less of a mental liability so prob better to focus on Green over KPj. But I agree w DD that KPj was a better overall player. Green is just more explosive.

Lol, what? So if Green makes an all star team one day, KPJ will always be better no matter what because he was better in his 4th year vs. Green's 2nd year? C'mon now lmao. If we only want to compare under Silas regime, Green's second year was already equivalent and better in some ways to KPJ's third year. He is obviously on a higher trajectory through 2.25 seasons.

Uh no. But you can’t compare his defense this year when they both are young players, improving every year regardless of circumstances, and then a MAJOR shift in coaching and management expectations. You’re giving Green all the benefits of growth and change while only comparing it to the shithole the both KpJ and Green dealt with the last two years. That’s not even close to a valid comparison.

Not a high IQ player. He’s not going to win you games by making a game winning shot. Time to start taking calls. Sengun is special and he needs to be paired with another star.
