I understand the general hate Draymond receives since he is a terrible person however I dont get the connection him being multiple all star means Jabari can too, let alone see the slightest parallel in their game. Guy has a HOF basketball brain and next to no athletic abilities or shooting. How do you compare the 2? I think Jabari will probably become multiple time all star, but he is nothing like Draymond.
I had my doubts about Jabari from last season and earlier this season. And us not getting Paolo on draft night after all the speculation still stings but truth is. Jabari has become our second monster important player after Sengun I hope he continues to improve. He either needs a handle or to bulk up to take another step. If he does either or both it's over
Nah I would still say FVV is second, green is third and Jabari is tied with Brooks now as 3th most important.
Bari has been playing great lately. The last five games, he's averaging almost 17/7 on 57/42/80 splits. His defensive rating for the season is 109.4. Even if he doesn't become a star, his floor is a great complementary piece for a winning team.
All he needed to do what start making shots. 30% 3pt last year was just horrific. Luckily, his best strength coming into the draft was his ability to make shots. I think FVV and Brooks being here helps him a ton with his confidence. Jabari looked so unsure and hesitant last year. The past few games he is using the mid-range confidently. Having a guy that can get you an efficient 15-18 ppg night- in night out is super valuable. People don't talk about a player like Shaun Livingston much, but he was an absolute destroyer of our Rockets teams coming off the bench for Golden State.
I'm going to say removing KPJ, Nix, Christopher, TyTy, and KMJ has helped a lot as well. On Jabari specifically, I think he was not ready last season, and probably would have had a rough start/not played regardless of other factors last season.
Generational. Consider moving him to the 5... Great days ahead. For many opposing centers he is a mismatch.
I should clarify, for the future of the franchise rebuild players. Sengun then Jabari have the most value to our team unless Tari, Cam, Amen or Jalen make strides
I never doubted Jabari's shooting ability. You don't suddenly forget how to shoot after being a good shooter all your life... unless your name is Ryan Anderson. His struggle last season was clearly mental.
Oh still disagree with that. I don't think Jabari will ever create the havoc that someone like Green can on offense in terms of defenses collapsing and fearing him compared to Green. Just more gravity.
I hope Green can be more efficient and consistent. IDK if you read my posts but I'm down on him. We need him to be great to succeed though
Jalen is on another level when it comes to handling gravity. I noticed in the last game how often he got triple-teamed. That's why people say he's like a young Kobe or Jordan. But that doesn't mean Jabari is a bad player, it's more like they're both really good but Jalen is much superior.
His 56% ts is reasonable for his role at his age. Remember that Jabari has a more simplified offensive role. Green is asked to create, playmake, score with defenses often doubling and blitzing him with multiple defenders when he turns the corner from a screen.
