The Rockets got props for making the decision early to start Bruno Fernando over Alperen Sengun, just about a year ago.
I remember that Sengun had a month last season (I think it was January) already where his PER ranking was already top 10 or close to it. Then Silas hit him with something like a DNP - coach's decision and reduced his minutes and touches. It was unbelievable.
I'm curious about how they come up with these "stats"... it seems like they favor the players who control the ball a lot, but that doesn't mean they're better, especially on a young team like ours.
In a few years, they will say the same about Sengun. The Jokic/Sengun archetype is unique, and delivers.

Sengun is simply a marvel. He has the heart of a lion, the instincts of a vampire, and the reflexes of a mongoose.
Sengun is the best player in this team.. no one can discuss about this.. he is a complete player and has the highest basketball iq in this team. At least 4-5 possible of his asists are wasted in every match from his team mates who are not in the same level of basketball iq of his.. Optimistic about Jabari, but for Jalen.. too early.. But l love our core where Sengun Will be the main guy...
