The last 5 games - GSW - stinker and got benched. Memphis - One bad half, one good half. Denver @ Home - Solid game. Dallas - stinker Denver on the road - One good quarter.
I mean you could go through every good game of star players including Sengun and do this type of analysis. Most stars when they score 30 or something aren't doing it in exact evenly spaced quarters of scoring. This is the type of stuff that makes the anti-Green stans just unhinged and irrational.
Like why are people so confident in their claims when they don't even know the number of years a player has been in the NBA?
In Jalen's defense, he has a bigger load to carry than most of the other guys in his draft class that he gets compared to. The Rockets rely on his scoring contribution. If he has a bad game, chances are high the team loses and he is going to take more heat for a bad performance. Is that the case as much for Barnes, Wagner, or Mobley?
You could do this with anyone. It's a silly complaint. And do the points somehow count less if they are not evening spread throughout the game?
Obviously he could do that to anyone because 90% of the bbers are role players and they are inconsistent but i can't think of any inconsistent cornerstone.
Alperen Sengun is in his 6th Year as a pro Wemby is in his 5th year Josh Giddey 4th Year Amen Thompson 3rd Year lulz
Sengun played 29 games that year as a pro. I don’t think those 13 games made that much of a difference. The reason why he went pro was so he wasn’t encumbered with college and NCAA maximum practice rules. Ideally he’s spending his time everyday developing his professional basketball skills and that’s why he went pro. Playing 82 games in a season isn’t necessarily going to help you develop your skills either. It’s that same debate that was going on recently with how AAU kids play a billion games which can be a hindrance on them developing their skills versus overseas who play fewer games but practice more. Anyhow this is his 4th year as a professional and 3rd year as a NBA player.
JG4 may be the most obsessively scrutinized young star in the league, and it's largely from his own team's fan base. Fortunately his whole history suggests he's built for it, much to the chagrin of some so-called Rockets fans. I can't lie, it's been pretty entertaining watching the arguments against the kid get increasingly desperate. Stay tuned...
3rd quarter brilliance: 1st play, takes DHO, hits Jabari for a 3 with a crisp skip pass on what looks an extended pick/pop action Pull back middy Great drive to force a Jokic foul, hits both freebies Hits Alpe on a slip screen, slick assist down the lane Catch and shoot 3 Drive/kick to Holiday in the corner who misses, easily could've been an assist Little bit of extra dancing but shakes the defender off a pick from Sengun and hits the 3 Hits Sengun running down the lane who gets blocked, but easily could've been an assist Catches Jokic playing drop off a pick action, nails a 2 from the top of the free throw circle Drive and hits a pass so clean even Landale scored, assist Good rebound in traffic Step back 3 Rips a rebound, runs full length of the court and forces a foul, 1/2 freebies Walks the dog to half court, picks it up and guns it from 3 19 in the 3rd quarter, of 26. 3 assists, could've been 5. Couple boards. Worst thing he did was overplay a closeout and let the man drive past him. I don't know that I've ever seen him play with more force. He was the man once, for 12 minutes on a Wednesday night in November lol...
Anything that isn't the NBA isn't professional. Spanish and Turkish league...not pro ball Japanese and Korean baseball leagues....not pro ball Minor league baseball...not professional MLS not pro soccer Got it!
I get it. I’m just realigning the way I talk about NBA careers, now. Want to make sure I include all pro years. Amen will be in his 4th year, next year. Imma really going to need to see a leap.
