If it gets the Rockets back on national TV I’m all for it.

I would go with that. I do not really care but it should get the role players paid.

Scott Foster will be reffing tonight's game.
Hopefully he doesn't hate us as much, with CP3 and James gone...

I'm sorry Top, I'm not down with this whole deal. To me, it's just another money grab at the expense of the sport. Same as MLB lowering the mounds, cookie cutter parks, another round of playoffs, etc. I could care less about this "tournament" that's being hyped all the time...the ridiculous courts...the risk of injuries, then and later. In fact, it represents everything I despise...the further deterioration of the integrity of sports.

It feels more important, with a little extra oomph but doesnt feel like a true playoff game imo. But what it does feel like is similar to an NFL primetime divisional rivalry game.

Where it has some extra competitiveness and playoff like attributes.

    I'll take it.

We might be on his good side, or the NBA’s good side.

You sound like someone who has crawled through the desert for days and days, yet scoffs at a glass of water because it's not a gallon. :D

Zion burned out his welcome by eating his way into injuries.

Alpi is the new golden boy.

I’m all for anything that puts the Rockets on a national platform and elevates their status in the league, gets people talking, gets more televised games etc,

I don’t understand the argument against safety or potential for injuries. These all count as part of the 82 regular season games except for the IST Final Championship game.

How are the courts more dangerous if that’s what some players are saying?

Cuban didn't want the Mavs to play in those hideous courts so they're not going to play in those hideous courts.
Didn't know you could refuse to use them. I never want to see them in Houston ever again.

I have a traditional side of me as well.
Gimmicks and hype sometimes ruin things for me.

But another side of me looks at things that remain the same decade after decade as growing stale.
Everything that occurs has happened before, but better some how.

I constantly have to balance the two in my psyche. Sometimes one wins, sometimes the other. Occasionally in-between somewhere.
