Remember how he celebrated when it was clear he wasn't going to Houston?

Also, he is a Spur - that should be enough.

I don't wish him a career-ending injury. Just that he has a losing record throughout his entire NBA career.

It's their choice to come to games and watch games lol. It's not like Popovich is forcing these fans to fork out cash for their tickets SO I don't see why we should feel sorry for them.

Let's wait and see how Wemby will look in 2 years when he's Chet's age. I think spending so much time with an NBA team really helped Holmgren to hit the ground running. So much time getting comfortable and getting to know the system and how things work in the NBA in general. He might be considered a rookie, but he kinda isn't. He's a damn good young player, but I think Victor's ceiling is higher.

At least most steals-plus-blocks-by-a-teenager is not too random a statistic.
But maybe if they just did steals-plus-blocks-minus-turnovers-on-a-Tuesday-in-November, Wemby would be the best ever, by far!

Makes sense seeing KG and Smith top of that list. All three of them are/were physical specimen.

Stick men struggle to make it in the NBA. Wemby may be a tad more skilled than most, but the NBA "brutes" are still going to push him around and over the season beat him up. So far, I am not buying the generational player label. Wilt was a generational player.

He may still dominate because the NBA is pretty soft still despite the brutes you write about.....

No way he dominates with Shaq, Mourning, Hakeem, Dikembe, Robinson still being around.

Maybe not generational but close to being generational.

Sure, Wilt was a generational player because, in no small part, a generation before him, in fact, less than 10 years - only white guys were allowed to play in the NBA and an informal black quota system was still in place.

    That literally makes him generational.

If we use a broader definition of "generation" - Wemby only averaging 18.9 and 9.7 in 30 minutes a night - he's only averaging 2.6 blocks - through, 19 career games.

As pointed out earlier, the last guy to do that as a rookie was Elton Brand 23 years ago (20-10 in 37 minutes a night for a 17-win bulls outfit).

Elton brand is 25 years older than Wembanyama, easily old enough to be his father, and a moderately responsible one, so IMO that makes him...generational.

Wish the kid the best, but I just don't think the hype of this kid will be realized.
