[Official] Victor Wembanyama as a Spurs thread

It seems like Chet is a vastly superior shooter than Wemby, and all around better offensive player. Wemby a superior defensive presence though, and he's 2 years younger than Holmgren.

 

Chet plays team defense.....

 

To be fair, we were a dumpster fire, but i guess wemby didn't realize how amazing of a coach Ime is out of everyone he could had be picked by at least for the modern NBA.

 

I would hope so.

 

Chet has that dog in him though and is a natural leader, he can anchor both offense and defense and also tries to build that chemistry, when he blew up in SL when he was interviewed he always tried to pump up his teammates esp Giddey in interviews. If both are guaranteed 100% health I'd rather have Chet tbh.

 

I understand why the league had to fix the lottery results so that we did not get Wemby.

Could you imagine it? Love Amen the pick but with Wemby we might be a damn contender this season and teams would not have scored 70 on us.

spurs only get up to play the rockets and spoil what we got going.

Diva already, that's what happens when everyone is blowing you up before you even played a regular season game.

 

Maybe and Britney freed out of conservatorship which is great news.

 

Not a fan of Sochan, but how is the play even an issue?

First, it's not a 2-on-1 fast break. Jones was ahead of them on the right side. Second, Jones was not in the corner. He's on the wing. Third, Wemby was behind everybody. Sochan had two options: dribble toward the basket or the baseline and try to pass to Wemby when he arrives or pass it to Jones and let him control the play. He chose the second option.

I do agree that Sochan is not a PG.

 

6 steals and 4 blocks is pretty impressive, I have to admit

That said, I wish him all kind of lack of success for his entire career. Screw that guy.
