A lot of interesting scenes but all without much of a purpose.

There was no real reason to care about the killer and his vengeance. The scenes of how he sought out the revenge were well done and kind of interesting, but without an initial buy-in to the character and why it matters, it was lacking.

    6/10.

The spoiler was my favorite part of the movie.

A decent enough watch. I think it might be one of those films that grow on you over the years, but right now it's middle of the pack Fincher.

    Score: B-

I honestly do not feel Seven vibes or the lightness of Benjamin Button, or the 'great' Fight Club.....

Maybe a tad like Zodiac Killer (was a non movie year personally) that I have not watched yet. Or Social Network.

He just follows the chain up and it feels robotic and devoid of meaning (so a lady friend just for the libido).....well acted though and I like it.... not a fan of Fassbender.

Of his movies I've watched, I'd personally rank them from best to worst like this: Seven, Zodiac, Fight Club, BB, The Killer, Social Network, Alien 3.

And I think Fincher was doing the whole sterile, robotic, cold thing on purpose. Might work for some, didn't work for me.

Fight Club, Seven, Alien 3, The Killer. Liked the first three a lot. Have not watched the others listed.

I liked it okay, but definitely lesser David Fincher. Two straight duds between this and Mank compared to some of his best.
