I normally don’t care that much for the Apple Cup Washington vs Washington State but I’m rooting for Washington State as them And the Oregon State are the last holdouts of the PAC. it’s sad that Washington is just throwing away a 115 year-old rivalry to go follow USC and UCLA. I’m going to be rolling my eyes when Minnesota invents some hokey trophy when they play Washington
Lord Heavens, Auburn.... that was pathetic. Turnover on a muffed punt. Then allowing a TD on 4th and GOAL from the 30-yard line.
The third rusher for Auburn just stood there too. He's not gonna scramble. You rush the QB or drop to the end zone. Stunner.
I know the playoff committee is hoping they don't have to pick between the 1 loss teams if UGA, Washington, Michigan, or FSU lose.
I'd flip Texas and Georgia, but best scenario for Texas is Washington, UGA, and Michigan win their conference games and FSU loses. Texas would then get in ahead of FSU and Ohio State.
FSU and UGA losing today would make the committee's life easier. Then you just have PAC, SEC, B10 and B12 champs as long as they have 1 loss. No need to worry about an FSU withput their star player, and no need to worry about a 12-1 Georgia that doesn't win the SEC.
Michigan (if they beat Iowa) Georgia (if they beat Bama) Wash (if they beat Oregon) Texas (if they beat OU) Oregon (if they beat Washington) FSU (if what?) Ohio State (if what?) SEC #2 (if what?)
Unfortunately, Texas gets to play mighty Okie State, who lost at home to South Alabama in a rout. Even with a convincing win, it's probably not a big enough opponent to pass an undefeated FSU that beats a top-25 Louisville. At this point, Texas has to hope Louisville or Iowa can work some magic. Locks: Georgia/Alabama Wash/Oregon Control their destiny: Michigan if they beat Iowa FSU if they beat Louisville Needing help: Texas if they beat OSU 1-loss Georgia if they lose to Alabama 1-loss Wash if they lose to Oregon Ohio State if FSU, Texas, Alabama, and Oregon all lose.
I feel like Michigan and Georgia are locks. I think if Alabama or Washington win they're in. Otherwise it's gonna be a **** show with Texas, Oregon, and FSU.
I don't think the committee could leave out an undefeated power five champion. They already set the precedent with Ohio State and Cardale Jones. Leaving out FSU would be like admitting that the games don't matter especially for all of the other kids on FSU's roster.
Yes, if they beat a top-25 Louisville team and go undefeated. Unless the argument is that on-field results don't matter and they should be denied the opportunity because some random people in a room assume they can't win without that QB.
In the last PAC 12 regular season game CAL dominates UCLA in Pasadena. The end of a 90 year old rivalry.
Pac-12 champ is a lock. Michigan, FSU, & GA are locks if they win. It will be tough if Alabama wins, and the committee is deciding between Alabama and Texas. I like Texas odds if FSU or Michigan falter.
