Clearly fascist. Let people work and keep what they earn? No living off taxes taken from others? Terrible. Evil. Might as well be living in Italy in the 1930s.

Most of the ruling class are libertarians.

The biggest backers of libertarian think tanks are industrial leaders like the Koch industries.

Libertarianism is basically a ideology that helps people to stay in their positions of wealth and privilege. It's an ideology that allows the most exploitation of labor.

It's an ideology that can be summer up with "**** you I got mine".

And again there is a reason why even right wing media outlets acknowledge the libertarian to fascist pipeline.

The vast majority of humans who own massive amounts of capital from investing are throwing money at a oiled machine of international trade and infrastructure that is only possible through public infrastructure paid by taxes and labor.

It's easier to make an argument that the wealthiest capitalists use more tax payer resources than the poorest people in society.

Ownership of capital is not needed to create something. Skilled labor is required. Hence why there is the stereotype of the unskilled laborer failing upwards to management positions and eventually executive positions. Rather have them do busy work than do the actually skilled labor.

Also what is ironic is how people like ATW absorb knowle and become agreeable to individual political figures based on tweets.

This suggests if he finds a clip in a tweet of George Lincoln Rockwell waxing lyrical about free speech and how leftist academia is suppressing speech he'd start pleasing the man and ask what's wrong with neo-nazism.

You people are so easily swayed by political rhetoric. 90% of libertarian propaganda is trying to convince the working class it's good for them.

I think many who ascribe to being Libertarian don’t fully embrace it. Many US politicians who claim Libertarian also simultaneously push government control on social issues. I don’t know enough about Milea but from what little
I’ve seen I would put him in the same category as he’s talked about going after political enemies and presumably would use government power to do so.

I will continue to point out that the biggest problem with Libertarianism is that it’s utopian and can’t work in actual practice. When our country was far closer to libertarianism Robber Barons dominated and in most countries where
Those principles are put in actions similar things happen. While a command economy cannot deal with the complexity of a large economy and inevitably leads to corruption and inefficiency a small government free market economy inevitably leads to monopolistic concentration of wealth and corruption.

That would be utopian for libertarians. That is the point of libertarianism. The people at the top wanting to make sure their methods to get to the top are left alone.

Libertarianism has always been a ideology of "my right to exploit you"

Hence why the ideology came from land owners and not laborers.

    You need both.

For example as an architect I can design a building and there can be skilled construction workers to build it. The building won’t get built unless there is a developer with the land and Capitol to pay for the materials to build it.

We really don't need both. The argument for capital owners is merely an argument of "where would the motivation be to build things".

Not whether you can build things. You can build things even if you remove all the "expertise" of capital owners. Because the expertise in building isn't owned by the capital owners. It's owned by the laborers and designers.

I enjoy public roads, the police and the fire department. But maybe that’s just me.

im in a higher tax bracket than I was a few years ago. Still make more money overall, so not sure what the big deal is. Not like I’d prefer to make less money to pay a lower percentage of taxes.

My wife and I make 2-3x what many of our friends that work as first responders, teachers, and other vital positions in society. I don’t think we are working any harder than them, we just happen to be in careers that make significantly more. I’d argue their jobs are more important to society than sales and marketing.

Libertarians remind me of jerk liars that say, “I would have tipped more if they didn’t add gratuity to the check” when dining at a restaurant. No you wouldn’t have.

    About living off taxes...

Isn't everyone who lives in a society always living off taxes from others, since taxes are collected and then used for the collective (collective defense as one example)? I guess some think before 3000 BC was a better time.

I'd go as far as to say the wealthiest humans use the most tax resources because the more wealth you accumulate the more use of public infrastructure you use and the more your assets needs to be secured by the state along with all the people that you employ that use public education to become skilled individuals. And then there is forms of corporate welfare where people who work for corporations working 50 hours a week still needing things like supplemental healthcare coverage or other social services that aren't covered through pay by the corporation.

Or using tax resources to generate benefits for themselves (aka corruption, self-dealing, and those kinds of activities). Anyway, taxes aren't ever fair, and everyone hates them.

My point is more about a taxless society. Of course, you can never test that out today, but you can go back to a time when everyone was for themselves. I'm sure individuals who rely on themselves can produce things like electricity, medicines, and the internet, where they get to debate about a taxless society.

Libertarians want the benefits of a safe society and don't want to pay for it.

    They are indeed a problem.

    Bunch of selfish twits.
