    Green, Van Vleet, and Brooks.

Could add Jabari, but haven't been as critical of him, just more disappointed by his rookie year.

I think criticism is fair. Normally posters are unable to formulate a response to criticism. That’s where it seems to go personal and then becomes toxic.

Good debate is one of the best things about this forum.

I talk a lot of **** on Green but mostly just trying to get the board riled up

I just need to see more dog from him. This has been my only complaint on him since we drafted him. Stop being a p*ssy and show us why your the franchise guy. That’s all I want to see

I’m not willing to max or super max this kid just because he’s the franchise guy. Amen and Whitemore make that more obvious

Jalen gets knocked on the floor when he drives. Whitemore knocks people out the way when he drives

Get Tate off this team. He’s a gentleman and a scholar but not worth sending Cam to the gleague for

Still don't understand why the criteria is "franchise player" or else the guy is a bust and get him outta here

We do probably need at least one top 10 player, but not every high pick we made has to become a superstar. If Jalen ends up becoming a second fiddle type of guy like Manu, Klay, etc, well, some of those dudes still got multiple rings and were key parts of championship teams.

I'm more concerned about whether he continues to show growth and becomes a better team player. He doesn't have to take over games consistently for me to be fine with us giving him a big contract. Doesn't even necessarily have to be All-NBA, maybe he only makes a few all-star appearances in his prime. He just needs to become a really good player overall, whatever form that takes.

I was a big hater of the Brooks signing.
I was lukewarm on the FVV signing.

So far, they've definitely proved me wrong. Ime and his staff are out here working miracles.

*I was right to hate the Jock signing. I see no hope.

There is criticism and then there is premature labeling of calling 20 year olds busts.

    What's that one guy's name?

    Alfred Shengoon?

(Attention, SOFs: I kid, I kid. I love the guy. Really wish he didn't whine after every call or non-call, though.)

Jalen Green and Jabari Smith...Jalen is a streaky player: some days hot and other days cold, wish he plays more consistent...Jabari Smith is a poor man LaMarcus Aldridge, but he still in his 2nd year...I'm projecting him to be no more than just a good role player, but hopefully I'm wrong.

    welp...
most of the folks i've criticized are gone... :)
everybody else i've been on a wait n see... i dont expect much from kids - its all a crapshoot...
i guess i frequently question why we have a low ceiling guy like Tate on a rebuilding team...
eh... but id be happy to see him become a superstar... lol

i frequently say i'd rather dish draft capital for known commodities... i guess id be happy to be proven wrong by finding we got a superstar or two from the top of the draft.... (Sengun was a 'treadmill of mediocrity' point of the draft pick..)

I don't think I've "frequently criticized" any Rockets players. But I have been critical of certain aspects of them.

FVV: his shooting percentage made me uninterested in him as a FA. I eventually got on board and was cool with the signing. But now I can firmly say that my initial concerns were either way overblown or just ignorant.

Jalen: I have hated his shooting form since he joined us, and I have thought that it was unlikely he'd ever tighten it up. As such, I thought he would always be a poor shooter (for a SG). But it has looked better for most of this year, even when the shot isn't going in. So maybe I'm wrong about that. I hope I'm wrong about that. Even if Alpi is our "main guy" going forward, we probably aren't going anywhere without a great scoring guard who can also shoot.

Jabari: in contrast to Jalen, Jabari (usually) has a beautiful looking shot. And his 3 pointers are often open shots. Yet, his shooting percentage has been way worse than I anticipated once we drafted him. It has been hard for me to wrap my head around why he's been such a poor shooter, overall. Of course lately he has been improving and I hope that continues. Also for Jabari: I have been less impressed by his defense than I thought I would be. I'm hoping it's largely due to his youth, and that additional reps + body strength will enable him to become the defensive player we all hoped he would be.

And while I'm not overly critical of Tari, I think I see a much lower ceiling for him than most CFers do. I see him as an energy bench player, not an eventual starter.

The last time I fiercely criticized something was Tanking and the Draft Picks......it is not all bad.
