Happy Thanksgiving to the most cagey of veterans that I have ever had the pleasure of shitposting with. My your turkey ham chicken or tofurkey be tasty and your plate overflowing. Unfortunately I have to run to the grocery store for some last minute ingredients.
I’m getting ready to preheat the oven for the Turkey. It’s 15 pounds so should be done sometime mid afternoon.
I’m the only one losing weight this Thanksgiving. No turkey meal here. But, don’t cry for me Argentina. You’ll enjoy this special day. Here’s a Debbie Downer for everyone. My Mom’s birthday is typically on this holiday. My Dad passed 2 years ago on my Mom’s bday. My Mom passed 2 months later. How do I look at this date now? It’s depressing as hell.
Not hosting this year so I wanted to make a dish I don't normally make. Made a jellied cherry-cranberry sauce and it looks pretty good. Was very easy. But I might be the only one who eats it because I don't think anyone else attending eats that canned cranberry sauce, which this is supposed to be a fancy version of. Anyway, happy Thanksgiving everyone. Our team isn't a dumpster fire anymore. We should all be thankful for that.
I remember you mentioning that in another thread. Really sorry to hear that and can see how today isn’t the same for you as many others. Hoping for the best for you and your family.
