42% of residential property in Gaza has been destroyed or damaged. Hamas has a militant/terrorist wing and civilian wing for basic government matters. Any infrastructure that serves the public like a hospital, food shelter, admin building will be run by people employed by the entity "Hamas". So any civilian around any public type infrastructure is fair game apparently. The wat the IDF claims "human shield" is as long as some Hamas admin clerk is living in your apartment complex you are fair game. That's the level of indiscriminate bombing that occurs. Of course Hamas is at a hospital in Gaza. It's like asking if their are Houston or Texas State officials that exist in a hospital in Houston. And one more thing to show how bad faith the rhetoric is by the IDF. Notice how they provide evidence of Shifa hospital being a command center. They did it by sharing photos of with red square boxes and circles around tunnel entrances. So the existence of these tunnel networks underground of the hospital is the evidence right? A former Israeli prime minister went on Christiane Amanpour's show where he thought it would be fine to admit that the tunnel was built by the Israeli govt themselves where it confused Christiane Amanpour to the point she said "that threw me off a bit". So their evidence that there is a Hamas command center is that "tunnels exist".... which they built which pretty much is a self fulfilling prophecy.
Let me tell you he didn't generate these beliefs overnight. He formed them decades ago while he was advising policy to our presidents. Ya he was fired by his CURRENT job. He went too public with his feelings that influenced him with his previous jobs that he didn't get fired from. Just imagine some kid in the middle east watching someone like this say this stuff and is like "these were the westerners who dictated policy over my people".
Even the wording of the ceasefire shows how little we value Palestinian lives. The whole world clenched with empathy as they should when those hostages by Hamas terrorists were taken. Ceasefire terms come out about 150 Palestinian women and children being released by the Israeli government and people are like... "Wut, when were 150 Palestinian women and children destined by the Israeli govt" Palestinian oppression is so constant and so lasting that 100s of women and children being thrown in prison without any due process on a YEARLY BASIS is just normal status quo stuff no one really cares about in the West.

Of course, these are beliefs that he has likely held his entire life. The reality is that there are far more Jewish people in prominent positions of power in the US government than there are Palestinian Muslims and that has an influence. The reality is that the entire situation is a complete cluster ****.
There are a lot of Jewish people who hate the Israeli government also and have zero allegences to Israel. Unfortunately entire like Aipac go on these campaigns to create the class of "self hating Jews".and even calling them anti-Semities
Yes - there are a lot of loosely ethnic Jews that do not observe and are against Zionism. However, I don't know how many of those there are involved in politics. Even someone like a Jake Tapper, who is usually very measured and is not at all religious has biases based on how he grew up.
What's funny is that yes a lot of people who don't have strong attachment to their Jewish ancestry have no allegences to Israel but there are actually a lot of very Orthodox Jews who are strongly against the concept of Zionism. They believe that only after the messiah arrives can Jews return to Israel. Also before the state of Israel existed the native population consisted of Muslims, Jews and Christians. So native Jewish people existed in Palestine region. And ironically that native Jewish population that still lives in Israel proper today are some of the strongest anti-zionists that exist within Israel proper. They have grandparents who probably told them stories of how life was before the state of Israel and how they had no problems with Muslim villages and neighbors before the settlement projects after the Balfour Declaration and were against the formation of the state.
