Chapters 7, 8, and 9.....7 was well done (although why re-flesh the bones of Chapter 4?), 8 turned Luke into a wuss and tried too hard to veer in another direction (and killing Snoke so that Abrams brought back Palpatine, thus retroactively rendering moot the emotional satisfaction of his demise), and 9 could overcome neither Carrie Fisher's death nor Abrams' abrupt swerve back toward his own lane.

Rogue One was a solid-azz movie, although it should have been Chapter 3.5 and included John Lucas' music.

If they continue with Star Wars movies, I don't know if I trust them not to eff them up. Granted, I'm not the same kid who saw the originals, but I'm also not the same kid of the 70s who loved Elton John and Stevie Wonder music, and I haven't outgrown those either.

Well I'm not helicopter level like you but it seems to me the chart shows that the later ones that cost way more are making way less. The exception being one of the worst movies of all time in Attack of the Clones.

I'd love to know your input.

Nothing will ever live up to A New Hope’s profit margin. It changed Hollywood forever. But let’s be real, any investment that makes 100%+ profit is a no-brainer.

These things print money. Not only do they make a massive profit at the box office but they also generate massive profits in merchandising (which is why George Lucas was a billionaire before he sold tie IP to Disney) and licensing as well and they drive Disney+ subscription numbers when they hit streaming.

The problem is. The people that DO need to WAP on the movie-side of the equation need their margins too, so you'll get gradually more watered down CGI/greenscreen movies. Cheaper movies and more of them. GOOD LUCK suckers

yes. Dave Filoni will direct a feature film that will tie together the Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka era, essentially bridging the gap between Return of The Jedi and the Sequel Trilogy.

    somehow Palatine returned
