Greatness is subjective but you are probably not wrong......that is just messing with ye.... I think he is above average on some movies, but you sound a little bit cocky though. I had nothing against Hostel for instance, maybe my taste is not acquired enough and close to being too pedestrian. I mostly mistake him for Nimrod Antal....
No Problem, as said I had no expectations and I have not gotten the acquired taste. Personally I also favor directors or writers that can write/direct multiple genres and not just Horror.
There's another guy...Uwe Boll, Uwe Blob, something...who's movies just piss me off because they are so terribly bad (but could be good)....maybe I'm just negatively biased against shitty movies?
I think he is not ultimately bad enough to be notorious but I think Tarantino made his name famous. Uwe Boll just makes movies to show that he can.....he is not a professional in my opinion.
