Yeah, averaging 30 on poor efficiency while going 20-62 for the season

Let's start getting Cam some of Jalen's minutes. Just a few, like 10 or so to start with. Whichever of them buys into ball movement and team basketball and plays harder on defense gets their minutes increased at the expense of the other. Competition, baby.

I would have expected one of Amen or Cam to play more than 10 minutes by now......bummer but the season is still young.

Lmao. C’mon man. The point is the bad games far outweigh the good games. That’s the problem. It’s not selectively harping.

I think there are two points to this.....the player he is now......and the player that people have expectations towards that he can be....

Why is he taking wide open middies fading backwards? Just shoot them straight up and balanced. He likes the falling down **** like KPJ. He's not locked in, he's giving Kevin Martin Vibes

Kevin Martin could win you regular season games by himself other than that he cannot do much else.

Silas WAS creating plenty of open looks for Jalen Green surely nobody thinks otherwise. Udoka wants Jalen to be a half court Jaylen Brown. It will take tiime to go from a freedom of movement open court player to a controlled demon.

The inability to use a player like Jalen Green in transition is crazy.

did you just type Silas CREATED open looks for JG? Delete your account now and go away forever. You’re either a HOF troll or as delusional as they come.

…the only thing Silas created was an AAU playground type environment with no structure; he created a locker room with no accountability. A real coach came in and in 5 minutes realized the best player on this team was someone Silas didn’t know how to use (that’s Sengun if you’re not following).

Jalen is being forced to play Real basketball now (something he hasn’t been forced to do at any time in his career from HS Prep to G League ignite). What’s the result? He’s being exposed.

So anytime KPJ was struggling you weren’t nutting your pants and talking the most **** out of anyone on this board for the last 3 years? You wished the worst for a rockets player out of anyone here so stfu with all that

Im not talking **** on Jalen. I’m talking **** to everyone who has coddled that kid even though I have never seen a rookie provided more by a franchise in my life

No, I never wanted for him to suck. He managed to be a selfish, no defense playing chucker and bad teammate all by himself.

The issue was never about KPJ's performance on the court, if not for the incident with his ex girlfriend Jalen would be permanently coming off the bench due to being a no defense chucker. It's odd you accuse others of Jalen's weaknesses as a player... especially when the guy you go after is better all around.

It's just dishonesty.... something I think we've come to expect.

It wasn't hard to see KPj had no business being on the team. He was the one player I didn't give two ****s about no matter what he did. The minute he stormed out of the arena I knew. Anyone with half a brain could see that he was a waste of time. And we were right.

Jalen is different. He's not a bad kid. He's not an untalented kid. He means well. He's just not there and might not get there. This is the year he needs to prove it and so far he has shown flashes but it's no longer enough. Cade and Mobley are dealing with the same questions. Franz as well. They're just not good enough. Scottie is fine but if he's one of your two best players you aren't winning ****. Of that draft class, only Sengun is a franchise talent.

"The coach realized the best player on the team was blah blah blah" No the coach installed a killer instinct on defense. One that even Jalen Green has bought into. If you cant see the difference in shot creation from one coach to the next then you dont know as much as you claim. Udoka is relying on an iso/high post offense just like he did in Boston. He's not drawing up a ton of action and movement to get guys open outside of a shtton of PNR. Beat your man, collapse the defense and then make shots hell even Sengun has taken on the Tatum role initiating from near the 3 point line and working towards the basket but he could be even better because of his vision and ability to generate secondary scoring opportunities for teammates. Sengun is not even requiring that many back to the basket possessions - good for him he's assumed the top spot on the totem - that ALWAYS works itself out on the court. It cant be a forced leadership thing or Only Fan preference. If it leads to wins Im with it.

Silas actually got guys into their spots for open looks he was just a pushover without the necessary piss and vinegar to be a coach and who didnt give a damn about defense. His offensive mind is sound. Turning Jalen Green into a half court game watcher/popcorn scorer and then not using his speed and athleticism in space is not fully utilizing the talent. This slow plodding attack will take Jalen a little bit to get used to, he has to get used to impacting games in spurts. He's missing shots now. He's missing at the rim stuff. He's a little mixed up, but to hear guys like you just dismiss him altogether and claim to know ball while Jalen Green was setting records as a young player is really ironic.

    "Real basketball" :D:D:D "He's being exposed" :D:D:D:D:D:D

I think its clear he has the physical tools to be a great player.
Just a question to whether he has the mental tools to go along with it.
