He’s not making the whole year as a Houston Rocket. He’s gonna meet the bar or Udoka gonna send him. Just my thoughts. But we aren’t gonna keep a guy that teeters between starter and a guy you can’t play in the 4th quarter. We’ll see, I guess.
Because I saw it in the game thread. Saw it last night with folks saying it was Udoka’s fault for not getting him more involved.
No you didn't Stop trying to find ways to hate the kid. Seriously will a 2 week stretch of the opposite play make you swing just as hard the other direction? People make such epic deals of such small sample sizes. He got benched one game. Why not just hold off on the doom and gloom?
I feel like this also happened last year, where he seemed to have regressed, only to suddenly prove us wrong a look a lot better. Seems to me like he is in his head now. There really should be no pressure on him, he doesn’t have very good back ups that can take his job. It’s frustrating since I really want Green to excel. I felt him and Sengun would be a great 1/2 punch, but things are not looking great.
Wait what. I’m saying what I saw said in the threads. Not doom and gloom at all. I don’t hate him at all. I’m not sure he’s a fit on an Udoka squad though
He has been a postive player for most of the season: https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/team/11/onoff#tab-team_efficiency
https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/team/11/onoff#tab-team_efficiency https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/2024.html higher on/off than Fred dude. It's a bad stretch where he looks shaken a bit with confidence. Why not come back after all-star break?
It’s early in the season - and it’s easy to get carried away, but right now Jalen Green isn’t a good NBA basketball player. He deserves more time - and the Rockets were never seriously going to make the playoffs - but I will admit Green has been a damper so far. If he is still playing this way after 40-50 games then I think it’s fair to consider that he may not be the long term answer. At this point though, he and Udoka need to figure something out. I can live with Green being a mediocre defender and a mediocre passer - but he needs to get 25 a night and be efficient.
What? I said he deserved to get benched tonight. DO you have reading compression issues? I'm speaking of the totality of the season he's been a positive.
I would trade him for another young player…he is not a ALPHA player…he is not a shooter but a athletic player who plays finesse
Please send Coach all this information. He will love to hear from you how Jalen has been better for the Rockets than FVV this season.
I would trade him for Cam Thomas i'm not joking. He's a **** defender too but at least is a reliable shooter
