Just because you extend Jalen, doesn't mean he has to get the max. I'm pretty sure a max extension has not gone to a rookie to never even make an All Star team.

Even with Sengun, we talk about him making the ASG, but the West has so many good players, he will likely miss it this year. So based on recent history, even him getting a max extension is not a foregone conclusion.

 

Difference is if we don't someone else will. The league knows Sengun is a beast. Jalen will be coming off the bench somewhere eventually and will probably be paid like it. If he walks, then he walks.

If that is accurate, how would they pick him .... and be stuck in a situation like the one the Vancouver Grizzlies were in with Steve Francis and all you end up with is Michael Dickerson, Othella Harrington, Antoine Carr and Brent Price while the franchise gets to go play with the team of his choosing.

Mobley may be the better player but he should not have been the pick.

Why do ppl keep saying **** like "it's mental he has every tools to be great just be patient". Bruh mental shortcomings are serious flaws that will absolutely cap your ceiling why do ppl downplay the importance of it? When you listen to these people you would think they are talking about him being in a phase. Like his cat died a month ago and he's grieving trying to comeback from that. It'll pass just be patient ok but he doesn't have a cat does he?

If you are not ambitious you will not improve. You will not train 2 more hours than others every day to improve your jumpshot, your defense, your body.

If you are complacent you will have hard time adapting to changing circumstances, and a won't be able to meet new challenges. You will be content with what you are.

If you have self doubt it will hinder your growth as a person.

You could be a pessimist, escapist, defensive, could lack of self-awareness all of these play a major role in determining where you're going to end up.

This dude has serious mental shortcomings. It's not just a matter of his vibe or something like that. Be for real man you are all grown adults attributing his two-plus years of inconsistency to his vibe rather than his personality how does it makes sense? "He's in his head right now he just have to he just he just ..." He can't man that's who he is it's all in his DNA.
