Mortgage rates are already coming down in past year. They should be around 4-5% next November which is a big improvement
Those rates are too low. Don't get me wrong, I want that for average Americans purchasing primary residences, but so many will be used for more rentals.
I keep telling yall this over the past year. The right wing donkeys @J.R. @basso who paint biden as senile are only helping his case. Half of americans believe this theory which will help biden on the campaign trail. If he has a good campaign season and does decent during the debates it's his race to lose.

If you're the rockets or texans wouldn't you rather be heavy underdogs than be a -10 favorite? All they do is lower the standard for biden so when debate time comes or campaign season comes people will be blown away that he's not in a wheelchair or he's able to debate. They're digging their own grave. If they were smart they'd go after biden on inflation but they're going all in on Biden is old and corrupt LOL
Americans will vote for facism aka TRUMP if they don't get lower rates. We've been spoiled in this country with cheap rates and now folks are upset. What hurts most are auto rates are high which is killing alot of lower income folks who want to buy for first time. Powell is a republican at the end of the day so who knows but he should be cutting in March according to data...that would mean 3.75% fed fund rate by election which means rates much much lower than those today.
Obviously recent polling is causing a lot of angst among Democrats and those who don’t like MAGA but we need to keep perspective. Biden is personally unpopular but many of the issues he champions are not. We’re seeing they play out over and over again in special elections. At the same time Trump isn’t gaining in popularity. In a binary poll almost a year out from the election there is protest factor to the results. We’ve seen the same thing for other incumbents who looked doomed but still won re-election relatively comfortably. this doesn’t mean there isnt reason to worry from the Democrat side but I don’t think panic is warranted.
