Who is claiming that Israel is building these tunnels? The tunnel system under Gaza has been in place for smuggling goods and supporting armed resistance/attacks for many decades. It predates Hamas. It has both civilian and military use. Well known. The existence of these tunnels near the hospital is not proof that the hospital serves as a command center for Hamas’s military operations. We will see what Israel is able to uncover to justify that claim.
Any more details on this beyond the tweet? It’s hard to make out what’s going on there. Appears to be someone armed leading someone into the hospital, but not sure.
Supposing these are actually hostages captured on October 7th who were brought to the hospital — what conclusion should we draw from this? Presumably the hospital is where anyone injured — including militants and hostages — would be taken for treatment. Is the implication that these hostages weren’t injured at all and were just being kept there for non-medical reasons?
