We all know this movie is probably going to have zero diversity types - which is honestly not trying to be racially insensitive it's just the fact it is portraying Japan...hello lol we all know Hollywood would have strong independent diversity types if they made this movie for no reason whatsoever. i'm definitely going to watch this in theaters because I want to support non-woke Godzilla - plus I'm sure the theater is going to smell a bit cleaner with all the woke trash not watching it - I can enjoy my popcorn
Yes this made by Toho in Japan they don’t have to put Latinos, Indians Americans and Black people in 1941 Tokyo
https://movieweb.com/godzilla-minus-one-perfect-rotten-tomatoes/ Godzilla Minus One is being hailed as a kaiju masterpiece, with a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics appreciate how the film takes Godzilla back to its roots in post-WWII Japan, capturing the iconic monster's essence. While there is some criticism of the film for not addressing contemporary issues, overall, it is praised for its compelling story, stunning cinematography, and entertaining nature. my stance is if the only criticism might be that it isn't addressing non-sense contemporary issues then we know this is a winner - Hollywood take note plus only $15 million production cost - Japan gets it @tinman
Haha just say you cannot be put in any drawers.......you will draw the hearts from that community if done right.
I'm glad it was a JAPANESE MOVIE and not a Hollywood one where they are forced to put Black people in harms way in 1940s Japan
Holy fukin ****!!!! It took 70 years for a war torn Godzilla movie? How about we just stick with that theme? Also probably the greatest Godzilla character ever, He carried the *** outta this movie!!
I can’t stop thinking about this movie man!!! Give me more war torn Godzilla movies, *** the monster verse!
Two thumbs and one penis up. Loved this Godzilla movie so much. Have comments and questions though. SERIOUSLY, REAL SPOILERZ. Spoiler 1. Main actor was maybe pretty for the ladies in the audience but his melodrama was a lil much for me and he seemed like a weak link. I liked (of course) the scientist, but also the ship captain, the mechanic, and some of the military dudes. Neighbor woman was also pretty cool. That all worked really, really well. 2. Soundtrack! Gonna get it! So cool to incorporate so many iconic sounds from past movies. 3. Coating an immense monster with a sheath of gas could actually work to sink him quickly! I am currently teaching buoyancy to a bunch of students, and shockingly, this plan half kinda made sense. I'm blown away by that. 4. Wow, at late-war and post-war Japan in this movie. Super well done and important. 5. Him walking with stiff arms was prob the most disappointing EFX part for me. Looked super fake compared to the rest of it. Him swinging his tail, by comparison, was awesome. Questions: A. Okay, I loved the whole "chose life" and kinda get-over-the-dumb-deathcult-thing angle. And both the Mrs. and I teared up when you saw that he ejected from the plane. BUT here's the question: were all the dudes on the boats saluting him (I hope so), or were they saluting the radioactive slag, half-headed corpose of Godzilla at that point? It made no sense! B. My favorite G scene had to be him in the navy fight. Loved the effects of him in water and him surviving the blasts. But his first on-land part with the train car was pretty great too. Which G scene did y'all like the most?
