GSW still has a chance though, a smaller chance because it is a back 2 back and the Rockets are fatigued.... Probably need some miracle from CP3, Gary Payton and folks.
I think the Clippers game is going to be tougher than expected. They seem to be slowly playing better and probably desparate for a win. But the Rockets should be well rested and well prepared. So, I still feel pretty good about their odds for all three of these games.
2-1 at worst. 3 teams dealing with early season turmoil. I'm starting to lean toward a 3 game sweep. These Rockets are not a team you want to face when you're already struggling.
Sucks that’s AD only had 9 points against the Kings, he’ll bounce back for 30 + vs us. He’s done that for the last two years. Bad game, good game - it’s actually funny. if we win with AD playing well - man watch the hell out!
I think we have a great chance in the Clippers game. They look really awful. They aren't playing team basketball. Our boys are a team. The Lakers with Anthony Davis back is going to be a lot harder. The Warriors is interesting because they won't have Draymond and I'm not sure if Steph will be back either. Without those two guys it actually should be an easy win. If Steph is on the court, then there will be nothing easy about it even without Draymond.
I feel like Clippers will actually come out guns blazing on us, Warriors won't have Green or Steph. Stephs getting evaluted in a week. I'll be disappointed if they lose against Klay and scrubs.
I think we the Rockets putting the league on notice, teams are going to prepare differently for them and will be playing with extra motivation to put them back in their place. These are going to be a tough 3 games, my hope is that we go 2-1, however, realistically I'm expecting 1-2.
It's a 3-game trip. We can't come out of it at .500. The only options are 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, and 0-3. There's no 1.5-1.5. If you mean overall, we'd be at .500 only if we lose all three games. Are you saying you'd be impressed if we lost all three to put us at 6-6?
The Rockets better not underestimate any team. Without three starters, the Warriors led by double digits and went neck and neck with the Timberwolves in the 4th. No road game is easy.
I just don't think I care if they come out guns blazing. They're old. They're slow. They play the same kind of "your turn my turn" basketball we played last year. I think they made a HUGE mistake trading for Harden, and not necessarily because he doesn't have anything left. I just think he's a terrible fit for THAT team and they'd actually be in much better shape letting Leonard and George be the stars and surround them with quality roleplayers that can defend and shoot. Westbrook can play the point. That's fine. He was actually doing a great job of lowering his usage and playing more efficiently before Harden joined. And that's wild to me. They may figure out how to maximize their talent eventually, but i don't think that'll happen by Friday.
