I did not believe you could answer the question, and you did not disappoint.

While you do not answer questions yourself?

Pot calling the kettle black, methinks.

Can those 45,000 Chinese men swim 100 miles with a 50 lb backpack?

The PRC has a standing army of about 2 million. Getting a necessary percentage of the standing army to Taiwan would be untenable, if the US asserts its will.

The PRC could bomb Taiwan back to the stone age ... eventually. To prevent or slow down this kind of bombing campaign, the US would have to go on the offensive and launch missiles on mainline China ... and welcome to WW3.

I didn't believe you could even define the question and didn't understand your own question. You didn't disappoint.

If you want an answer, clarify based on my followup. Do that and I will definitely answer your question.

Says the guy who didn't understand what steps the US has taken under Biden, and can't clarify of what a successful Chinese occupation would consist.

    @basso
Tell me more about this new fangled Chinese foreign policy that Biden created from whole cloth.

Or stop pretending that the US has not been projecting force toward the PRC, since before you were born.

Waiting for your content free reply saying "you dumb. you suck. heh heh"

I'm not defending anyone. You can't tell me what a successful occupation would even look like. You're only busy working hard at how to not make a point or discuss the topic at hand.

CCP has no real desire to bomb Taiwan into the Stone Age, they want the infrastructure and technology present there as their own.

I will admit I sometimes wonder where China would be if the PRC had lost and the rule in Taiwan had existed in Mainland China.

before the Civil War in China, the Taiwan province was but a de-facto Japanese colony.

Rampant Greed / Corruption / Complacency on the part of the ruling party, the KMT, contributed to its defeat by the CCP,

The CCP started out with 30,000 men, w no guns nor ammunitions, short on food, living in caves.

the KMT had a national treasury, guns/bombs/ and the help of Western power. it managed to lose the Civli War to the Communist.s

Taiwan was returned to NC in 1945 or 1946 (I remember which).

Nothing you said changes what I asked or said I sometimes ponder. Taiwan has been very successful with a high standard of living, just like Hong Kong. I would far rather live in Taiwan than CCP mainland.

The NP lost to the CCP, but the CCP has resulted in the death of many millions of Chinese and has made a lot of mistakes over time. So I wonder what would have happened had the NP stayed in power or if another entity other than the CCP lead China.

No doubt there was corruption with the NP - as there was for example with Batista in Cuba…. However it is still questionable for example if Castro or the CCP are better outcomes.

Cuba and China are vastly different and they both have received benefits from their Communist rule - but they also have paid a very high cost.
