Of all the options, I like this choice the best. Now, fix the holes on this team and get ready to roll.

Cool.. Posters seem to approve and he's been here long enough to respect analytics.

He just needs to not wreck the ship.

What an Idea. To actually play your best players until you have the luxury of resting them at tactically advantageous times. I must be a bad person for believing such things according to some.

97.5 FM this morning, Lance and John were discussing how Espada was the mediator between the front office and the old school folks of Baker, Pettis, and Lopez.

I noted the same things. Between that press conference (and other interviews Brown has given) + Dusty's post-season tour, blaming bloggers and reporters - it sure does seem like there was a disconnect, and Dusty's retirement may need some massive quote marks around it. I think he was shown the door.

I never mandate what players/coaches, etc., should do because it's their life. But leaving after winning it in '22 would've been a nice ending for all involved: Dusty goes out a champ and cements his legend in Houston & the Astros start a new era with GM and manager in lock-step.

Rangers are ecstatic about Dusty's humility. or lack thereof.

Astros missed adding another ROY for the franchise.

Let's not do this - he looks like he is about to rape a kid in the shower.

It's simply an angle adjustment as well, put camera closer to eye level, non-rape vibes

Glad I don't get rape vibes so easily.

Can't help but notice he's wearing the number of Astros legend, Bill Doran.

Billy Doran made sure his successor at second base could succeed in Craig Biggio... someone could have done the same for Yainer at catcher.

They did the right thing here. Congrats Astros!!!

Now lets hope they do the right thing where it comes to what they do with the roster.

This is around the 1,000 you bring up Dusty unprovoked, but give Crane zero percent of the blame for not having a GM in place. Playing Diaz did not guarantee a series win. Unless you are one of those morons who cries about advanced stats.

Wait “morons” for using advanced stats? Dusty is this you? Also, since when is batting average, home runs, defense … pitch framing considered advanced?
