For those who don't know, this guy routinely makes insane posts like this. I'm not complaining. It is amusing. Y'all should find his other gems. Here's one:
They definitely had a team first culture, but I feel like Duncan was in a tier above Parker and Ginobli...
I’d say that in 1999 and 2003 their titles resembled most titles. 1 or 2 guys with outsized impact on overall winning compared to the rest of the roster. The 05 and 07 titles resembled the Pistons 04 title a bit more.
Yeah he definitely was but that still counts right? He just said the pistons were the only example. I think the spurs are a great example, despite having an all time great.
I’d include Dennis Johnson’s 1979 Seattle team as another champ without a franchise player. Definitely a small list.
I just don't understand and know where this stupid narrative came from that he was/is worried about his image or doing other things more. I think it stems from stupid Houston fans complaining about his nails and shiit. Similar to how a Houston fan created the infamous Harden defense video and started that narrative.
As the Spurs fan on the now defunct Texas Triangle podcast put it: Duncan should have won the finals MVP in 2007, but the problem was he was guarded by LeBron while Tony Parker was "guarded" by Booby Gibson.
Sengun goes #1 overall in a re-draft. Jalen Green goes 2. Scott Barnes 3. Mobley 4. Wagner 5. Pistons fans are turning on Cade. And quickly.
I mean if that's what it ends up being 5 years down the line I'm the happiest person ever. We have a great one two duo and should lock these two up long-term.
Too early to say... It's even early for the previous draft. Lamelo looked like HIM in Year One, now I'd take him #5 maybe, After Hali, ANT, Bane and maxey. And I am not even sure he's better than Vassel or Quickley, to be honest...
I had goosebumps watching Pau and Kobe on Chop Shop the other day. If they can get to that point where the plays are determined between the 2 by instinct and gestures… goosebumps again.
The hell you think green is ahead of Barnes. I think having him ahead of Mobley and Wagner is unlikely too.
