That is certainly a hopeful sign but I’m not going to expect much out of this.

 

I'm not shutting down anything, you need to try and understand free speech laws. I am giving my opinion, I am not the government prohibiting you from giving yours. FFS. Free speech laws protect you from the government restricting your free speech, not from other private individuals telling you they disagree with you.

 

I mean, it's so obvious, the "hospital is firing back like crazy"...if it were just a hospital, this wouldn't be happening.

 

Who are these Palestinian women and “young people” in Israeli prisons, and why are they there? Do you know much more about that?

 

The US government was funneling money to al Qaeda prior to 9/11. We funded and trained Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan to fight the Soviet Union. When the US government went after him, most people didn't say, "But what about US funding for al Qaeda, shouldn't we talk about that instead of what happend on 9/11?"

 

I don’t think one should be discussed in exclusion of the other. Is there a person in this thread suggesting we shouldn’t talk about the atrocities of October 7th and should “instead” talk only about all the bad things Israel does?

 

Netanyahu is directly responsible for a laundry list of accusations made against Israel. If GW Bush was proven to fund bin Laden, he'd be in deeper **** than Bibi. I mean Michael Moore's 911 movie that linked his family to bin Laden had similar run-up against the Iraq invasion your point brought up.

Despite the protests against netanyahu prior to 10/7, where he called them terrorists and traitors, those people still galvanized behind the state and did their duty to fight in the war.

Israel certainly deserves better leadership than the right wing criminal running the show right now

Good to hear. It is still important to know (a) how many staff members and patients were killed as a result of this operation, and (b) what was actually found regarding the alleged Hamas command center at the hospital. Hope to learn more soon.

 

Yes, several people seem not to want to talk at all about what Hamas did, does, or is doing (or praise them for their "resistance"). Maybe you missed it. The point is, even though we funded al Qaeda and it came back to bite us, it didn't restrain our response, or affect it in any way. When you are attacked, you retaliate. Worrying about prior funding of the people who just attacked you is pointless, because now you are dealing with being attacked.
