Jabari is actually 20 until next May, so he's still incredibly young. He's almost a full year younger than Chet Holmgren. He needs to become stronger, but that might take years.

This is the duo right there. Love the smiles, the connection, the positivity. They are going to make it happen.

Still waiting for mainstream media to mention the Rocket's 6-game win streak and hopefully, them taking a break from over-analyzing the Lakers and the Clippers. Even when the Rockets beat the Lakers their entire commentary was about how poorly the Lakers played but absolutely no mention of how well the Rockets played.

Btw boxing out was again a problem and I really wonder if our stand around offense is by design.

How do you figure that the Lakers have the most championships....cannot be coincidence.

I wish we could hit clutch free throws. Both Jeff and Brooks had opportunities to ice the game. Could have had the Spurs game result again.

what, in your opinion, is the most shocking development so far this year player wise. So, for instance not ime's contribution to growth but rather the pleasant growth from one of the youngins or impact of a certain vet.

I've always respected your opinion much more than most and curious your thoughts. I have a few things im pleasantly surprised by to say the leastbut interested in your biggest takeaway.

I would say one of the most surprising developments is how quickly Jalen Green has started making the type of plays that contribute to wins but are not obvious on the statistics sheet. I expected Green to take a step this year, statistically, but I expected it would take some degree of playoff failure before he would start sacrificing his game and doing the things it takes to win.

Instead, Green hasn't taken a statistical leap so far - but he has adapted quickly to playing the way that he needs to play if the Rockets are going to win. I still expect his statistics to improve at some point this season.

The other one that stands out to me is the improved passing by Alperen Sengun. He has always been a good passer for a big man, but I expected we would see improvement in more traditional statistics but not in playmaking with veterans joining the team. Instead he has improved his playmaking to the point where he is getting close to point guard production, and he is doing it while limiting his turnovers and still scoring.

Defensively I expected Sengun to improve, because good defenders around him and a well ran system allows for his weaknesses to be better covered... but I am a little surprised by his increased foot dexterity switching. He still can get thrown off balance and be out of place, but he has shown an ability to at least get a hand up on the perimeter, and he struggled with that last year.

    What about you?

    Best 3pt shooter = D. Brooks
    Possible MVP/ROY = Stroud
2 possible COY = Udoka and Demeco
    2 winning streaks = Rockets/6 and Texans/2

Its most satisfying when Rockets haters are forced to confront reality and we get to watch them at their own crow buffet.
