Never doubted him. I want him to be fcking amazing, same with Alphi and Bari. Can we keep this logo tho?
The kid is becoming a man on the court. His reads on pick on rolls, decision making off the ball on cuts is much better now. I’m ready to eat my crow for questioning his IQ and his awareness. It seems like he’s figured this offense out, because he’s always in the right spot to make a play. His defense been good too. Udoka is doing a fantastic job. I’m loving the energy around this club.
Green is now averaging over 20 ppg on about .58 TS% while shooting .4+ from 3. Good stuff all around.
Look at Tatum's 3rd year output and efficiency on a 48 win team. I think that is prob around the season Green will have but probably around a 40-43 win team.
Anyone got espn+? https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...xey-new-role-lamelo-next-step-genius-draymond “Flat out star in Houston” is it green or Sengun?
It's obviously Sengun. He's playing at a actual star level now. Green is still playing like a "still loading into a star" level but it definitely has been much closer than after the first few games where he's been bad. I think Green eventually if he keeps on doing this rate of improvement the past weeks then yes he can be the other star that joins Sengun. And the improvement we've seen in this winning streak is sustainable improvement because it's improvement in defense by a significant amount from last year. Still has occasional mistakes but they are far fewer in between and now he's getting deflections, blacks, switching off ball correctly, communicating. He's into the defense. His head is in it. That already improves him as a impact player tremendously from last season. What he seriously needs a jump I'm to get to star level is consistency finishing at the rim. The thing with Green is it seems like a lot of his misses are lackadaisical type misses at the rim. Like he thinks it's an easy flip when he should have just been more assertive with the finish. Missed some bunnies the last few games and that's a good sign because I think those are correctable. He still makes spectacular finishes at the rim consistently. At least 1-2 a game now.
