Some sengunatics are hypocrites also. They get triggered when sengun greatness isn't being fully realized by folks with sht takes and comps and then u see atw wanting our 3rd pick in the draft to have a career/role like Horry a guy who averages 7/5/2.

Disgusting. Anybody averaging that for a career drafted at number 3 is considered a bust.

    Prove it.
It should be easy enough, my entire post history is readily available.

    I'll wait.

Anyone remember the good old times when "Sengunatics" were doing their "Sengunatic" stuff on the "Bruno Fernando will start over Alperen Sengun" thread?

    Good times.

Stat-wise, he should be better. Horry was a real winner who had a great career, and his best years with Hakeem. He seemed to always be more focused on winning than on stats.

This is not meant to be a knock on Smith. I just think his skill set (threes, defense, hitting clutch shots) is similar to Horry's, and I consider that a good thing.

    If you want another comparison:

If Sengun is Baby Jokic, Jalen a better version of Murray and Jabari could fill the Aaron Gordon role, that would be good.

Comparing 90s stats to 2020s is lazy anyway. Horry would average 15 ppg with ease in today's NBA.

    I'm a Turkish fan

Just saying any sengun only fan wanting smith drafted at number 3 to end up with a career average of 7/5/2 and then get pissed at folks always looking down/hating on sengun need to look at themselves in the mirror.

Rocket fans should want all their players to b great, sengun fans seem to only want sengun to shine and everybody else to b his followers.

Easy to look up. Go ahead bud.
You may want to call it “objectivity” or “realism” but it’s really not accurate.

    I agree.
I don’t agree with either side.
The best thing for the ROCKETS is for all of them to maximize their abilities.

Nobody said he wants Smith to average those stats. I clarified that I want him to have a career as successful (as evidenced by rings) as Horry. I think they have similar strengths.

I don't hate or dislike Jabari. I'm neutral on him

He has done well since the first 3 games, but hearing that he was upset during yesterdays win is a huge red flag, similar to him throwing Sengun under the bus last year. I'm glad Udoka is holding Jabari accountable. We have no room for selfishness

Anyways Thunder and Magic made the right decisions. Jabari is clearly a tier below Banchero and Chet. Regardless I understand people hating on Stone picking Jabari at 3

I personally think Smith has great potential to b more than just a glofied role 3 and d player. Him ending up like that is a bust In my eyes.
Folks have made comps of him being the next Kevin durant, we should hope for that.

Robert Horry is a winner but he was a winning role player that's it. Wanting our third pick to end up like that is quite triggering similar to thinking Jalen green will b Corey Brewer 2.0. Any 3rd pick of the draft that ends up just being a winning role player is considered a bust by most if not all fans.

Ahh, so you admit you can't back up your ridiculous accusation.
Well, at least you didn't try to lie about it.

Your baseless, reactionary accusation does prove one thing though; Sengunatics are embarrassingly thin-skinned.
Any failure to gush effusively over Sengun, or god forbid, offer any type of constructive criticism will get you labeled as a hater, a racist, or worse.

Moreover, some of you seem to take any defense of our other young stars as an affront to Sengun himself, which is just plain weird.

I understand that "player-only" fans do exist.
They always have and always will.
However, when your obsessive fetish for your favorite hoops hero leads you to unduly deride and diminish the coaching, management, and/or other players on the squad you have to expect pushback from fans of the actual team.

    It is what it is.

Jabari is probably more like MPJ.

I'll be honest, i'm an average Turkish guy who's not a diehard Rockets fan unlike most of the guys in here, i didn't really root for any other team other than my local club, my story with the Rockets fandom started with my T-Mac fandom, used to have all his merch and stuff, then it grew when the Rockets traded for Asik, then lost my interest in sports for a long while until a 18 yo kid started dominating Turkish Basketball league and u18 national competitions, i immediately knew the kid was going to be the face of Turkish basketball for more than a decade. On the draft night i was hoping for him to be not drafted by poverty franchises like Charlotte or OKC. So i was so happy when OKC traded him to the Rockets.

He was made the scapegoat for the inadequacies of his head coach and inadequacies of one certain player you know who for 2 years. There were lots of posters in here bashing on Sengun's defense 24/7.

And those who bash on Sengun typically get overprotective when their favorite players are getting criticized now. While that's the case, and while some of them can't still admit that they were wrong about Sengun, i think i have every right to take victory laps and tell them how they have been proven wrong.

I think Jalen and Sengun has star upside and Jabari Smith doesn't have it. Would i like to be proven wrong? Hell, yeah. I hope i'll be wrong just like i was wrong with Dillon signing. I hope all of them end up being stars and the Rockets can hang more jerseys in TC and have more championships under their belts.

Lastly, i jumped off my chair when FVV hit that dagger 3 at 7 AM.

Not at all. I’m not going to bring up obvious rhetoric.
Everyone knows you have talked bad about Alp or underrated him at every turn.
While simultaneously overrating our other core members.
Also, don’t be so pompous. You don’t sound intelligent no matter how hard you try. It’s a deflection technique used by narcissists when they’re caught in their own lies.

You want Alp to fail so you can not look like an idiot. Good luck with that.
No one here is a “player only fan”, outside of a few Turk understandably so.

Most Rockets fans recognize Alp is the current best player on the team and want to the other super talent to maximize their potential.

Can we get one solid week without the Sengun loons crying about something.

Is that too much to ask?

Nah, I appreciate every last one of those 177 losses over the last three years.

Without them we have No Green, No 'Gun
    No Bari, No Tari
    No Amen, No Cam

    ...and likely no Ime.
So I'm good with exactly how everything played out.

You’re another one of the SOH, you don’t get to gloss over 2 years of biased hate just because you’ve been proven wrong.

With the winning streak, the worst in GARM has basically been confined to this sorry thread. Good.
