I know a doctor from the UK, famous surgeon, nice guy, very devout Muslim, very "pro-Palestine", who worked with this doctor. Note she calls the Israelis "dogs" despite being educated, etc.

Notably, the ruling Likud party had that phrase as their first clause in their founding platform.

    a. The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is eternal and indisputable and is linked with the right to security and peace; therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty

There is enough violence in Palestine and Israel. No need to open another front in Brooklyn (or anywhere else for that matter).

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/woman-hurls-hot-coffee-toddler-162300690.html

NEW YORK -- A woman confronted a father, who was wearing a Palestinian scarf, and his toddler son at a Brooklyn playground earlier this week, deriding them as terrorists and hurling a cup of hot coffee at them, police said Friday.

The attacker, who was wearing black and white baseball cap, stepped up to the 40-year-old father and son at 12:30 p.m. at Edmonds Playground on DeKalb Ave. in Fort Greene on Tuesday, telling them, “You and your son are terrorists,” according to cops.

She threw a cup of hot coffee at the two, splashing the boy, police said. He was not hurt.

This is my biggest worry. I don’t think as Americans there is really much we can do about what is happening in Gaza. Israel isn’t going to be swayed by protests nor will
Hamas free hostages because of protests. If Biden put more pressure on Israel they likely won’t listen and it would be political suicide for him to take a strong stance against Israel. The US government has no sway over Hamas.

What I am very worried about is this spilling into the US. We had a six year old stabbed to death because he was Palestinian. We’ve had Jewish people attacked here too. We should not allow this to be a battle fought on US streets. We’re already dangerously divided enough as is.

anecdotal, of course, but I’ve heard similar from other sources, some first hand.
