He’s not a rim protector but that’s it. Anyone that’s hating on Sengun right now just doesn’t know ball
Will is a really interesting guy. He didn't like Sengun at all when he drafted but he was among the first to get on the late Sengun train and is now one of the biggest Sengun fans on Twitter
Going to be so funny to see Alperen Sengun be the 1st member of the 2021 draft class to make an All NBA Team.
It was always the case. Rockets did know his value and tried to trade him starting from #6 pick. The funny or tragicomic thing is how ESPN will explain not to rank him at "top 100 players 2023-24" list? Idiots!!!
Behind the back dunk is listed in # 5 in top 10 plays of Friday in nba.com. https://www.nba.com/watch/video/fridays-top-plays-50?plsrc=nba&collection=top-trending-videos
In fact, it was obvious that Sengun would be an all-star 3 or 4 years after he came to the league. These teams that did not draft him in the 2021 draft had two big question marks, the first being that he was an overseas player and the second being that they were not sure to what extent he could improve his defense. But these should not have been such big doubts that he would fall to 16th pick. If the 2021 Draft were to happen now, Sengun is a clear top 5 pick. Most likely the first 3. But the last regret is useless. Houston is just enjoying their chance. Meanwhile, most European and some American writers who follow European basketball were saying that he should definitely be drafted in the top 7, but it is a fact that he fell far behind because he was not advertised enough by local journalists in the US.
A lot of people compared him to Sabonis thinking that would be his ceiling. He is leaving Sabonis in the dust. He is still barely 21 and just getting better and better. .
