I honestly don't know how students got to their current place on this issue. It's not all about "universities indoctrinate them." In some cases, there are classes you would call woke, yes, but the vast majority that I see still teach critical thinking and sifting through evidence and argumentation and context and history. I'm getting more and more sympathetic to the idea that certain platforms (Tiktok, for instance), have an anti-Israel bias and are, algorithm by algorithm, biasing a lot of western young people. But that notion would not explain the sharp split between science students and social science students. That split is super disturbing (but at least a tiny bit reassuring to me as a science prof, NGL).
would love to have Dr.Abeer on our team, not only because she's a great human but also lymphoma site is a nightmare, (Atlanta offer 700k) but very few are interested in this position. Tomorrow maybe full of surprises
Good article in FT https://www.ft.com/content/8840d3d8-151f-4f2e-a831-2857c3515c41 Philosopher Susan Neiman: ‘I hate the words pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian. I’m pro-peace’ American commentator criticises tribalist politics and pushes for Jewish universalism
Is the Twitter user below a known Russian propagandist? I have never heard of him but he is basically saying a lot of claims were over-exaggerated. Edit: He is a former Labor MP in UK. I feel like Labor had always been accused of being anti-Semitic. Edit2: a bunch of the comments to his Tweet are people calling him a liar
I am turning off Twitter. It’s always nothing but well-packaged nonsense. I am going to log off and touch grass.
This is insane. These people must be brought to justice. Basically, these are hostile troops inside the USA. And there are a lot more of them in Europe.
