As long as we always win boringly! Jalen can score 40 Alp can take over FVV can make 7 threes Brooks can stare like a psycho (and score 30) Jabari can make clutch 3 points Tari can grab 10 offensive rebounds (8 from his own miss) Amen can heal his ankle Whitmore can be MVP of Summer League Ps: boring win = win with 20+ points lead
Reminds me of the 2000s Pistons teams. Not the actual player skill sets but the fact that everyone can hoop with unselfishness and defense
I loved that team. It’s the only team I have ever liked besides the rockets along with the Warriors team that beat the 1st seeded Mavs.
He really actually ****in is. It's mad that he's only just started and he's already up there as one of my favourite Rockets coaches ever, even though I don't necessarily think he's the best on the X's and O's. The demeanour, the attitude, and the results with players who were rudderless for multiple seasons. I'm sold.
I agree for as far as this lineup takes us, which may very well be a championship lineup in the future. If it isn't then we need to define who is and who are the critical pieces and who are the role players. As of now we did the right thing which is brought in vets to help the young guys be the best versions of themselves so we can answer those questions. We do not need the answers to those right now this very second. I'm loving the way we're playing and might even say I'm enjoying watching this team more than any I can remember in the last two decades or so... even the Harden/CP3 dominant teams. It was fun winning but I always had this fear that Harden would fizzle out in big games and then CP3 came along and that was my highest hopes then he got hurt and it wemt downhill from there. Although... we played a boring style -- a boring style that maximized our chances given the players we had and their strengths. This style is a beautiful brand of basketball.
The team works well and wont win anything without Sengun/Jalen becoming franchise level players. Jabari might as well but his inability to reliably put the ball on the floor might limit him a little bit. Sengun is playing at an All-Star level and will easily get into the ASG if the Rockets are above .500 during voting season. This team right now is entirely centered around the Sengun/FVV/Jalen triangle. Jaesean/Dillon/Bari have all contributed as well and because of them we have won by 30 instead of by 8. But right now as it looks....you can't replace Sengun. You can't replace Jalen. And **** you might not be able to replace Dillon.
