Yeah no doubt. Serious question for haters and fans alike: When Green does the acrobatic layups and dunks, does he remind you of Devin Booker? If not, which NBA players past or present does he remind you of?

Booker comparison is comical lol. Honestly, Green is a pretty unique player. Hyper athletic, lightning quick, insane body control and a pretty crazy handle. How many players have that combination?

    Imma just say it.

Astros got a young Barry Bonds on the team.
Texans drafted the next Aaron Rodgers.
    Rockets got the next Kobe.

It is what it is fellas.

    Enjoy it.

The number of wannabe NBA GMs on this board is a sight to behold. No one has ever made money buying high and selling low.

JG4 just led the team in scoring again.

People need to put down the crack pipe and relax.

some of those gliding lefty layups and transition dunks look like smaller Orlando T-Mac

Props to Jalen and loved his defensive intensity as well but let me also say that I'm loving our new head coach...

He just said during the post game press conference that he reminded Jalen that team USA chose Austin Reeves over him as a bit of motivation... ...

I friggin' love that sh*t... not saying Jalen wouldn't have went off anyway (he was definitely due) but playing with a little extra chip on your shoulder always helps.

It’s also become pretty clear that KPJ was stunting JGs development. Green would have likely been putting up 25 plus a night if it weren’t for that lunatic taking shots from him. Nevertheless, the most important thing is it finally feels like the Rockets are building a culture. Culture is what leads to the sort of success us Rockets fans have been dreaming about since the Dream days.

We saw today what selfless play looks like through VF and Brooks. They both didn't shoot alot and understood their assignment. No way any player last year would have done that

I'll gladly wave the white flag, and eat crow, while finally replacing my avatar with JG in the near future if this keeps up. Kid looks so much better.

    Go Rockets!

I do not usually get involved in those trade threads.........gauging value is not easy.

I believe some other GM would know that Ime is the MVP behind this and that the players should not be overpriced on the market.

Let us win the In Season tourney first and raise that value.

Let's see if the "Start Bruno over Alpi" crowd will be as reasonable as you and say they were wrong - I'll believe it when I see it.

There's some here that need to go out and dig a hole, stick there head in and bury it.

    You know who you are.

Green currently averaging 20, 4, and 3 on 46/46/71 splits and 58% TS taking just 14 shots a game…he has a 42% free throw rate

Remember his rookie year and some parts of last year where the team was significantly better with him off the floor? Rookie year -11.3 with him on, and -4.6 with him off…last year -8.7 with him on, and -7.2 with him off

Rockets with a +11.4 net rating with him on the court so far this year, and -4 with him off

I said I needed 24, 4, and 4 from Green this year on 44/36/80 splits and at least 57% TS…I really think he could pull that off in year 3

he would have had an efficient 30 in just 3 quarters of play last night if he was hitting his free throws

we are seeing improvement after just a handful of games under a real coach playing with a real PG, yet MFers on here like “Trade him!!!”

letting these young guys have Silas as their coach and an idiot like KPJ as their PG was sabotage…thank God we brought in Ime before the damage was irreparable

I don't want to be a negative Nancy because I do like Jalen and have appreciated his more developed team mindset, BUT is anyone else noticing that his offensive success in any given game is tied so closely to how well his three ball is falling? Like his handle gets tighter, his decision making is better, finishing is stronger. He almost seems to panic when it's not going. Just an observation. He's still young and learning how to win.

The Clippers have this option on league pass for their games called "baller vision" where two former players do play by play by streaming from their home. One of the clipper games last season the two players were Paul Pierce and Matt Barnes against the Rockets, Green had one of his better games and some electric plays that game.

Paul Pierce, someone who's extensively has played against peak Orlando T-Mac and knows his game very well said that he played a pro-am run with Green when he was still like 16-17 and he said something along the lines of "When I saw him then he reminded me of a baby T-Mac". Also Matt Barnes said something like "I think it's pretty safe to say the kid is going to make all-star selections in the future" and Paul Pierce was like "absolutely".

I mean he definitely is not going to be this hot from three game in and game out and yes his jump shot adds confidence to his step. But at least we see what he is capable of when his confidence is high.

The thing is this coaching staff and teammates in general seems very self-empowering. Tate mentioned that in his post game interview on how this team from the coaching staff to his teammates gives him the green light and confidence to let the shots fly and not think about it.

This coaching staff is very good at mental psychology of the players I feel like.

It was always like this, during his hot streak in his rookie season, he legit looked unstoppable because all his 3's were going in and it made the defense over play him.

This season he's definitely making better decisions when his shots are not falling. We shouldnt see anymore 6-18 nights when he is clanking his 3's
