How's the Rockets unguarded (>6 feet) 3 point defense doing?

From that tweet: Last in fast break points allowed last season, they are 1st this season.

This has been huge. Sengun has cut down his turnovers a lot eliminating some fast break chances while at the same time creating a lot more chances on offense. FVV has basically turned the Rockets from having the most turnover prone PG to one of the least turnover prone PGs.

We are 15th right now and 13th on offense. That's a massive improvement but still not a big enough sample size.

If I’m Udoka, I show this film to Jabari and say “this is your future if you don’t improve your strength and develop a yeoman’s post game that includes a high release baby hook.” Absolutely no reason for any player with a 7 inch height advantage to not be able to get a shot off in this scenario.

It's nice to be in the positive for once after being so incredibly bad the last few years. We weren't even visible in the chart lol.

Mavs - Best Offense - Average Defense
    Spurs - 2nd Worst Defense
Pels - Average on both ends = similar to LAL
Sac - 5th Worst Defense - Below Average Offense
Grizz - Bad Offense - Surprisingly average Defense

They're getting after it. They're doing what they're supposed to.

Not just top 10, they are 5th in the entire league in net rating, below only Boston, Philly, Denver and Minnesota.

The Rockets also currently have one of the best 5 man line-up in the league in NetRtg.

The line up of Van Vleet - Green - Brooks - Smith - Sengun has played a total of 120 minutes. This is:
    1. The 4th highest NetRtg among 5 man line-ups that have played at least 50 minutes (among 31 total line-ups)
    2. The 3rd highest in NetRtg among 5 man line-ups that have played at least 70 minutes (among 14 total line-ups)
    3. The highest NetRtg among 5 man line-ups that have played at least 90 minutes, although this list shrinks down to just 7 total line-ups.
However, at 120 minutes, this is currently the 5 man line-up with the most minutes played together in the league. Among the top 10 5-man-line-ups with the most minutes played, this Rocket starting line-up has the 3rd highest NetRtg behind only the Celtics and Nuggets, but at significantly more minutes.

What we can at least derive from this is the Rockets currently try to field their starting 5 together as much as possible, because they are very successful when they play together (the Ast% is a thing of beauty).

I believe we have the 2nd highest net rating among starting 5s in the entire league, only behind the Celtics.
