I don't care about what particular nonsense MTG does. I explained why the GOP House wastes time or votes on meaningless virtue signaling instead of pushing substantive bills that they want to see enacted. I don't know why you would expect me to support or explain the actions of MTG, but this is one example of said meaningless virtue signaling. The answer to your original question was that the GOP isn't passing their policy agenda because it will not pass the Senate and will not be signed into law by the President. The house can spend all day passing tax cuts or spending cuts or building a border wall or whatever they want, but it won't be enacted. What they can (and will) do is vote to spend more money, because that's something both major parties love.

That's only because their policy agenda is never anything to help fix the most important issues that actually help those in need in this country. It's never about helping address the biggest issues Americans struggle with, like gun safety, price gouging, affordable healthcare, capping prices of prescription drugs, clean air and water, hazardous chemicals spewing unregulated in the environment, mental healthcare needs, more public school funding, more drug treatment facilities for the millions of addicts, more domestic violence victims support, living wages, Veterans, Special needs students, children abused in foster care, abuse and neglect in care facilities, or anything else Americans desperately need. They don't care about that stuff. NRA, Freedom, tax breaks for billionaires, gerrymandering and voter suppression, deregulation laws that save the rich money, and MAGA mentality madness.

This is the reality of swinging over the age of 40.... you open the door and you and your wife see this.

You close the door and go to sleep.

I feel like anyone younger than a boomer doesn’t answer the phone when it’s not a number they don’t know. So polls now really suck.
Farmers want a legal cash crop? Rural counties have seen plenty of drug abuse and mar1juana isn’t a problem.

This isn't accurate at all. You're assuming the executive department has the right to choose where to spend money and where to just arbitrarily decide not to - that would be a violation of Congress' power of the purse.

If the debt ceiling does not get raised, the whole thing blows up. But even if you do believe the government can somehow choose to keep paying debt payments and not pay other things, that would nevertheless would still crash the economy when $2 trillion of spending doesn't happen, whatever it was going to be spent on. This also ignores the fact arbitrary cuts to spending are arguably one of the absolute dumbest things you can do - I would think your goal would be to cut spending in non-productive areas and preserve spending in areas that pay for themselves. But if there was some generic across-the-board spending cut, then things like the IRS would lose funding, which actually would cost the government more than it saves. It's death spiral stupidity.
