The US doesn't need to default on its debt. There is enough revenue to make all the debt payments as required, and to wind it down. I support cutting off future spending, with a concomitant reduction in taxation as the debt is retired.
I know you want to support your fellow magas whenever possible, but where in the maga word salad you posted twice is an explanation of why your fellow magas like mtg are wasting time and money trying to avoid paying the Secretary of Transportation (among others) instead of working on any important problems that face Americans. Instead of explaining mtg's actions, you rambled on about how you want the government to stop functioning. But never mind... continue pretending to not be a maga...
I’m brought this up in another thread but it also appears that running against “woke” doesn’t appear to have much traction for Republicans as an issue.
I can intellectually understand @StupidMoniker’s position that if you don’t want government to do much then MTG and others aren’t doing much. They are just adding to gridlock. That is what a Libertarian would like to see. Government doing very little. Whether you agree with it or not that is a principled libertarian position. A MAGA position wouldn’t be just for gridlock but an active government that pushes their anti immigrant, protectionist, and socially conservative positions. It just happens they many MAGA don’t seem capable of governing to get such legislation passed.
Listening to post election analysis also election denial didn’t seem to have much traction. In KY the Secretary of State who has pushed back against those who denied the results of the 2020 election won again.
They are magas that don't want to take the blame for maga. So they vote for maga candidates. And support maga positions. And defend maga actions. But then claim to be "libertarians" when convenient. But claiming to be libertarian isn't trendy enough now so they claim being a "no-party" supporter. That's really cool now (but they will still vote for the maga candidate).
Gridlock except when it comes to socially conservative positions. That, you must have the government be very active. I'm sure there are different versions of libertarians than that.
Its pretty interesting if you look at the maps of both referendums. The abortion referendum did extremely well in the suburbs of Cincinnati/Cleveland/Columbus but did relatively poorly in rural areas. The mar1juana amendment did much worse in the suburbs but offset that by doing relatively well in rural areas. The mar1juana amendment won a bunch of counties that didn't vote for the abortion amendment. So a lot of pro-choice voters apparently didn't like legal weed but a lot of social conservatives are ok with it.
Interesting, since both initiatives passed by the same margin. Thus, pro-choice voters are not potheads, and vice versa.
Dems putting a big hurt on the Repugs In Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Ohio, voters approved a measure to enshrine abortion rights in the state Constitution. Virginia Dems won majorities in the state’s two legislative chambers, in a setback for Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin’s effort to unify GOP control. Ohio became the 24th state to legalize and tax recreational mar1juana. Democrat Yusef Salaam, an exonerated “Central Park Five" member, won a seat on the New York City Council, representing a central Harlem district.
So what we learned is that Biden's campaign should be that Trump appointed the judges that took away abortion, and he'll keep doing that if he's re-elected. Also, Dems should put up amendments in states preserving the health care rights associated with abortion. That will drive up turnout for voters likely to vote against Donald Trump.
I'm sorry you have difficulty with reading comprehension. Apparently @rocketsjudoka was able to get the meaning quite clearly, so it isn't an issue with my writing.
Run on healthcare, abortion access (without far-left slogans like "Abortion is healthcare; see how Beshear did it without ever using the word), continued public infrastructure investment, a strong global American leadership role (I never thought I'd see the GOP give that title up, but their impending nominee wants to abandon NATO) and an economic policy that favors the middle class and labor. Do not touch anything that smells like gender ideology and other manufactured culture war issues.
Where in your (or RJ's) post do explain why your fellow maga mtg submitted first an "amendment" to fire the Secretary of Transportation and then when she realized can't fire him and what she tweeted again about an amendment to reduce his salary to $1.
