LOL. What a pair of gearheads. I mean, one of the guys is wearing a Gulf Oil shirt.

No mention of cost of operation, ease of home charging, no waiting in line at Costco gas stations, no tailpipe emissions, the significantly quieter ride, no oil stains on the garage floor, instant torque--it's inconceivable to these fellas that anyone could appreciate those things.

And yeah, I know about the recall. Once I get it sorted out I'll report back. And yeah, it does have some issues and I'm not sure I would recommend it to someone who lives in a place where it is below 40 for 7 months of the year. Still, I enjoy driving it and I do get asked a lot of curiously interested questions when I pull up to the store, bank, restaurant, vet, etc.

You are not going to get a lot of gearheads to hype up the current offering of EVs.
It's a compromise to them and they want no part of it. i think they actually liked the taycan.

    Cost of operation - they don't give a f
ease of home charging / no waiting in line - eh, millions of people do it every day and it's not some insane burden to fill a tank of gas.
tailpipe - eh. we are a society of waste
quieter ride and instant torque - yes. i agree.
stains on garage floor - lol, okay.

Yes, many people go to the gas station and many don’t realize they are paying a tax in time and inconvenience they don’t have to pay. It was downright liberating to get an EV. And the garage stain is a stand-in for all the fluids an EV does not need. And of course, tailpipe emissions are much more than mere waste. They will come down one way or another.

    from that article:
The type of response varies a lot, but there are a few key staples, like the reminder that most of us have not, in fact, designed and developed a full-size automobile and placed it into mass production, and I guess that means you can’t complain about any production car as a result:

You know, it’s how there are no movie critics that have not produced entire movies, or food critics who have never run a restaurant, or cultural critics who have never started an entire society.

Since I haven't made a car before, I am in no position to call thing an abomination. But hey! Elon dk riders will buy it in bulk from Costco as a 3 pack.

Before spouting off a baseless opinion, at least do a tad bit of investigating.

I have looked at the rear bumper for a while and don't see how to hook up a trailer.

There doesn't be a hole punched out for a hitch and even if somebody drilled out a hole, the angled part forces one to work blind to thread a nut for a ball hitch or makes it difficult to properly connect a pin hitch.

Isn't the hitch behind the bumper and you just take the cover off to access it? I remember seeing pics a while back, and that's what it looked like.

The hitch is activated with your smartphone via the cybertruck app

The trailer backs up to the truck
