Cam driving to the basket in the g league will turn some of the defenders into air traffic controllers.
It really looked like he was pouting to me last night. Ime called a timeout right away and this is the message.
Let him score 30 a night with those scrubs for a couple months and come back ready to be the bench spark.
I don't know if it'll be that quick, but we'll see. Like I said in the "other" Cam thread, all the vets playing well on this team and Tari coming back kind of screwed him over. That, and he still needs to learn is my guess. He also needs to work on his shot while down there, too.
Anyways, hope he keeps up a positive attitude down there. A lot of picks think its some sort of demotion being in g-league.
I hate that we invested so much in KPJ but this guy barely gets time then goes to the Gleague. I hope its a short stint and he comes back to bolster the bench.
This is good if he's not going to play. Amen is still clearly the better prospect, and I still think getting Cam when we got him was a steal, but I'm not surprised he needs some time down there to start the season. Talented kid but he needs some real work on his decisionmaking on offense.
With the Rockets, KPJ got his start in G league and there is no shame playing in G League (especially if you're already out of the rotation.) Cam is coming off of his freshman year in college and now will get regular minutes (time to shine) against grown men on a professional stage. If he makes the most of his minutes and shows growth he will be called up in due time.
