I think Sengun leading the league in box outs could be a great sign for how it could work when Tari is back (or when Bari improves his awareness a bit). They could take turns - one could box out for the other and the other should go for the rebound. This is a very unselfish, winning play.
What i see is we are suffering a lot also from fvv and green not being able to box out. The paint is always way too crowded for offensive rebounds.
I think there are trade-offs. When one or even two players go for the offensive rebound but don't get it, you are one or two men short on transition defense. Might well be that Ime and his team told them to focus on getting back instead of gambling for the offensive rebound, for now at least. The refs also often call fouls if you aggressively reach for the offensive rebound over someone else's back.
I was talking about our defensive rebounds, opponent's offensive rebounds. You mentioned Sengun's box out numbers, which are really great. I was saying it would make life easier for bari and sengun if fvv and green boxed out better, or were better rebounders. That's one rare thing I can say KPJ was doing better than them.
You can just tell Ime likes Alpi. Yes, he pokes fun at him a bit, too, but he recognizes the talent and is happy to work with it.
So much international flava in the league. Who would have thought when the OG Dream Team would clown on these countries
Jalen playing great so far, Alpi the machine that's making a lot of it work. Bari looking confident still. Squint a bit and you can almost see the makings of a legit team starting to emerge...I think all 3 could truly compete for franchise player status in a year or 2
Also, Sacramento's best player is Alpi's matchup - he already outplayed him last game, and he is showing today that that was not a fluke. Jalen and Jabari making their threes and playing unselfishly is huge as well. Our starting five are really great. And Tate is fantastic - we should keep him. (Alpi still needs to work on the damn free throws though.)
Thunder gave us Harden for nothing. Thunder gave us Al-P for nothing. What will they give us next decade?
We didn't have to suffer all those years i can't get unmad at Silas and his defenders. We should've at least tried to defend we were a disgrace to the sport of bb. I want him to get aids.
Yo... Does anyone want to join the believer bus and save themselves some pain? I will say that seeing JG and Jabari buy into their roles within an Alperen Sengun-centric offense is just marvelous. Everyone is flourishing, and it looks to me like we are going to be chasing a top 5-10 defense this year. If JG and Jabari start making shots at a level that correlates to their draft position, WATCH OUT.
