And of course, no conflict is complete without securing access to natural resources:

Israel awards gas exploration licences to Eni, BP and four others

JERUSALEM, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Israel's Energy Ministry said on Sunday it had awarded 12 licences to six companies to explore for natural gas off the country's Mediterranean coast, aiming to create more competition and diversify suppliers.

The licence awards, which came as the Israel-Hamas conflict entered its fourth week, included one group led by Italy's Eni (ENI.MI) along with Dana Petroleum and Israel's Ratio Energies (RATIp.TA) which will explore in an area west of the massive Leviathan field, which supplies Israel with gas and is also used for export.

A second group, involving Azerbaijan's national oil company Socar along with BP (BP.L) and Israel's NewMed (NWMDp.TA), will explore north of the Leviathan, the ministry said.

    Woke Pope weighs in:

Pope says two-state solution needed for Israel-Palestine

    By Philip Pullella

VATICAN CITY, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Pope Francis said on Wednesday a two-state solution was needed for Israel and Palestine in order to put an end to wars such as the current one and called for a special status for Jerusalem.

In an interview with Italian state television RAI's TG1 news channel, Francis also said he hoped a regional escalation could be avoided in the conflict that began when Hamas militants entered Israel, killing some 1,400 Israelis, mainly civilians, and taking about 230 hostages.

"(Those are) two peoples who have to live together. With that wise solution, two states. The Oslo accords, two well-defined states and Jerusalem with a special status," Francis said in an interview with Italy's RAI broadcaster.

In 1993, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestine Liberation Organisation leader Yasser Arafat shook hands on the Oslo Accords establishing limited Palestinian autonomy.

U.S. President Bill Clinton, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Arafat took part in the Camp David summit in 2000, but failed to reach a final peace deal.

Israel captured Arab East Jerusalem in 1967 and in 1980 declared the entire city its "united and eternal capital". Palestinians see the eastern part of the city as the capital of an eventual future state.

Israel has consistently rejected suggestions that the city, which is sacred to Christians, Muslims and Jews, could have a special, or international, status.

"The war in the Holy Land frightens me," Francis said. "How will these people end this story?"

An escalation, he said, "would mean the end of so many things and so many lives".

Francis, who has called for humanitarian corridors to help Gazans and a ceasefire, said he speaks by telephone every day to priests and nuns running a parish in Gaza that was sheltering about 560 people, mostly Christians but also some Muslims.

"For now, thank God, Israeli forces are respecting that parish," he said.

He also said that he was concerned about the rise in antisemitism, adding that much of it still "remains hidden".

The war between Israel and Hamas, he said, should not make people forget other conflicts, including in Ukraine, Syria, Yemen and Myanmar.

What Pope Francis is proposing would be rational but rationality is in short supply in that region. Those who don’t want a two or state solution and only a one state solution of their own people are driving things.

Dude, there are many other sources. I didn't even notice I used the same one.

And you are acting unhinged and quite weird for a self-professed Zionist.

This Rabbi says converting Jews to Christianity is completing Hitler's work. But he says, Jews stay Jews.

    https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/is-...y-so-many-churches-still-try-to-convert-jews/
Is this the secret reason why so many churches still try to convert Jews?
Is an undisclosed fear pushing missionaries to work on the Jews?

Converting Jews is finishing Hitler’s work. It is genocide. Trying to get rid of the Jews. But why do some churches spend so much money attempting to convert Jews into Christians? (Jews stay Jews, so it’s a futile endeavor.)

Many more Christians than the ones who try to convert Jews won’t agree to stop them and won’t help baptized Jew to re-find their way back home.

Why do so many Christians dream of and pray for Jewish annihilation? Is it just patricide from ungrateful children going all the way? Why has it been such an uphill battle for so many Christians to simply respect/love the Jews? Not to love Jews in the sense of I love fish and then eat it. Rather, love as a higher manifestation of respect. To respect, love, and protect.

    That's a Deep Cut.

Just this week, I learned that even Israel is not on board with the LGBT lifestyle. Which would make sense given the justifications in Christianity to denounce homosexuality are rooted in the Jewish Old Testament.

Same-sex marriage is not legal in Israel.[1] The Israeli government has registered same-sex marriages performed abroad since 2006. However, prior to July 2022 marriages performed in Israel were only available from one of the 15 religious marriage courts recognized by the state, none of which permit same-sex marriage under their respective auspices. Prior to the Central District Court ruling from July 2022 Israelis who desired to have their same-sex marriage recognized by the government must had first married outside Israel, in a jurisdiction where such marriages are performed, and then register upon returning home.

Ehhh, I read the whole blog (the part above is just a partial excerpt) and didn't like it. He is not a rabbi. He says this in his "autobiographical description" which is 3X longer than the blog entry itself. He is a full time blogger and letter writer among many other things which he is sure to tell you all about. Seems a bit conceited, accusatory and has a somewhat lack of understanding of certain history, including that of "Gentiles" and Christians.
That's my personal take after reading it. I've liked most everything you've shared & posted recently, but I thought this blog sucked.
