I don't see them making it past the second round. Let's revisit this thread next year. See you in April.
Lol he is easily more clutch than Harden but his thin frame, he is no Lebron and even Lebron is not that clutch, he rather passes it to an open shooter for the clutch shot than resort to his turnaround fadeaway. Durant might be just old.
more clutch for sure. I’m just saying as far as winning, ppl slobbering over his game … but he’s constantly the same player. I guess I’m use to players caring.
Suns lack a defensive presence. Spurs are a young and big athletic team, when Collins and Wemby teamed up nobody but KD can see the rim lol. Even their guards and forwards like Vassell are pretty big, that's why FVV had a tough game against them. Suns are doomed, theyre like a worse version of the Clippers.
Beal hasn't played yet, however I thought it when the trade was made and still feel the same way, CP3 would be a far more valuable player to compliment Durant and Booker than Beal will be. Beal is certainly a better individual player than Paul at this point, but this is a classic only one ball will create diminishing returns situation. Paul can still run an offense at an elite level and elevates lesser players even without scoring. Beal won't help their defenisive shortcomings, and they are thin AF when it comes to roster construction. They will still be a playoff team when all is said and done, but acquiring Beal instead of going after roster depth was stupid.
Durant isn't the overrated one to me, Beal is. Of course, Beal still hasn't played, so I guess we'll see. But I think the net exchange of Paul and depth for a one-dimensional player in Beal won't improve them.
Suns are fine, but Wemby may already be better than Giannis. Everyone else on the Spurs is meh, but yesterday he did for them what Dream did for Matt Maloney and Pete Chilcutt.
There's been so little adjustment period for Wemby. He's just come right in and been a high impact player on both ends. Teams are afraid to attack him, he'll swat everything and has avoided foul trouble. On offense, he can either iso or play off ball. It's just hard to stop the guy.
I don't get the The fact that he dominates every league he enters (French, Summer League, Preseason, Regular Season) within a few games/weeks/months is just, I don't even know what to say. I kind of feel like he should play in the NCAA tourney this year just to check it off his list.
The league is trying to figure him out rather than the other way around. When you're that big, athletic, and talented I guess everything just works.
Unrelated to Wemby, but one of my fav basketball facts: Magic won a State Championship, NCAA Championship, and NBA Championship (incl Finals MVP) in a span of 4 seasons.
On rookie of the year voting: “It was 60 to 2. I hate to say that too, but I gotta say that on TV. I was so pissed, man, I was so mad. 2 votes, but I became the first Rookie in NBA history to be named Finals MVP. I was only the third dude ever in NBA history to go from the college championship to the NBA Finals championship, and I get like 2 votes?”
I do not believe the Suns are mediocre. I do not believe that the Heat are a bottom team as their record implied. I do not believe that the Memphis Grizzlies are a bad team as their record suggested. Teams rise and fall all the time.....there is some sort of parity.
