Well, that's tough. But I don't think it has to be a scorer out of his draft class. Anthony Edwards looked a lot better than him at this point from the draft class ahead of him. In Jalen's draft class I wanted Cade, then Jalen and only after that Mobley. If I could redraft, right now I'd take Mobley at #2 (assuming Cade still goes at #1). Mobley would be lovely to pair with Sengun, but I'm not sure Jalen fits with Sengun. Jalen's perimeter defense is just atrocious, and Sengun isn't that kind of defensive monster that can erase those mistakes. He's never going to be that either. If they do decide that Sengun is the guy they're building around (and I'm not sure they'll come to that conclusion) then I would trade Jalen. I wish his offense came even close to making up for his piss poor defense, but so far it doesn't. And I think they may be a bad pairing even if it ever does reach that level, unless, of course, Jalen suddenly emerges as a defensive stud under Udoka. I find it immensely disappointing that he's constantly losing his guy on defense when he's faster than everybody out there. He has the tools. So why is he so bad? Is it IQ? If so, that's a huge problem and one that can't be overcome. Is it motor? That's also very difficult to fix. It certainly isn't speed, quickness, athleticism and I don't even buy that it's strength anymore. He's really improved there.

why is that important? Cam Thomas is probably a better scorer than Green and he is just a borderline NBA player.
If you take a more holistic view of team impact, Green is at the bottom of his class, and the numbers back it up. VORP for example, Value Over Replacement Player, has him at #44 with negative 0.7

The thread is literally "who is the best player" so in this thread it is, and FVV wins.

You are entitled to your opinion.

You are also entitled to having a look at how others view it, and to check the poll results.

I don't care, glad to have them both, but I have no doubt he is the best of the young guys.

All of that and you couldn't come up with a single name? That's because there isn't anybody. Interesting that somebody can be a bust and the best scorer in his class at the same time...

"Poll results" haha. Because herd mentality on a forum that declares everybody a bust every other game is more credible than a ring and all star appearance? Lmao, I can't with you guys sometime, it's ridiculous.

Why do you get so emotional about this? It's just a game, and people talking about it.

If you can't cope with (many) people having different opinions on a very subjective topic like this, maybe time to log off for a bit.

LOL - this is rich coming from you my friend - lol - we literally just argued over whether a player was better because he dunks more often.....we both struggle with having strong opinions.

Which I think is fine, it is ok to disagree.

I appreciate that neither of you sound like you just got done “scoring points” on Twitter, which is creeping onto CF more and more. Your arguments are much more entertaining.

Cam Thomas is 100% better pure scorer than Jalen it's not even up to discussion imo. And he is 27th pick. About 5-6 months ago i had said here that i like him more than JG and i still like him more. I'd actually be perfectly fine with a straight swap.

Surround Alpi with bulldogs who can shoot
Just like we surrounded Harden with tough defenders

    3 blocks a game?
You know how many players average that over the last decade?
    4

Alp will average 3 stocks a game by seasons end. The days of wanting a rim running rim protector are coming to an end.
Good to have as a back up.
