I mean Alpe is probably valuable around the league but I am not sure about Green or Jabari...... Maxey is 22 and so much ahead of Bari and Green. His consistency is scary at that age, like lethal.... Basically Morey would want picks and pick his own players I would imagine, the Brooklyn picks are okay ish but I am thinking Morey would rather deal with Utah or OKC.....those picks are better.
Never said he was HIM. I think it’s still early to tell. Also depends on how you define HIM. Franchise player? All star? Superstar? But by the same token, it’s also too early to say he’s NOT HIM. Like what you’ve been constantly spewing. What’s ironic is that you’ve already given up on the 21 yo after two years, but were still being hopeful for a certain ex Rox player who’s older and had more years of experience. What happened to the “he’s still young!”, “Give him a second chance” excuses you’ve been throwing around?
The player you're referencing, KPJ, was forced into a new position, under a first time Head coach, that everyone knew was incompetent. He had room to improve, because there wasn't a system and he was a SG learning to play PG. And yes, I thought he would improve under Ime Udoka with a definitive role. Sengun has been playing the same position forever. I think Sengun is a good player; high IQ, avg rebounder, avg scorer and a great passer but I just don't see how he gets better. For a 21yr old, I think he's maxed out. I dont see him avg 20+ ppg, I dont see him avg 12+ rpg, I don't see him avg 3 bpg....if you see that, then I must be looking at the wrong player. Do you see that?? Also, I mentioned Green in the trade proposal too. I think he's a good player, not great. All he does is score, he doesnt have any variety to his game. Maybe he adds as he matures. But I would trade both for Embiid
Whoever averaging 20pt 12rb 3blk a game will be in MVP discussion. Didn’t know you had such high expectation. oh and this: “For a 21yr old, I think he's maxed out.” LOL. How did you come to that conclusion? For example, is it impossible for him to become a reliable shooter?
What a weird thing to say about a player who has shown enormous improvement year over year every season. He might even score 20 points this year...if you can't see that happening then yeah, you are watching the wrong player. Reading this stuff makes me question if you actually watch this team.
What has he improve at since he got here? His game is the exact same since he got here. When I say growth, I mean adding to your game. Im still waiting on his mid - range game and 3pt shot. Will he ever be dominant defensively or offensively? I doubt it. However, I must be fair, he has implemented a stepback shot, which Im impressed with. I see a good player, not a great player or top Top 15 player. I'll trade good players for a great player ALL DAY
Observations: bari is settling in offensively but he’s genuinely terrible defensively. Dillon has been very good through 4 games but his turnovers tonight were terrible. Not sure why folks don’t see how good FVV is for our team. He’s our best shooter. Sengun continues to look like our best young prospect. nice to see Jalen knocking down shots tonight. I want to see consistency. Time will tell. His defense has definitely improved from last season. landale is clearly still recovering from his injury and shaking off the rust. Gonna reserve judgement. general observation about Amen: his handles are so much worse than I realized.
We actually agree here, I think. I would say he's improved at literally everything he's already good at. Every year he comes back as a significantly improved version of himself. But he has added very little new elements to his game. I made this same criticism of him in a post in a different thread a few days ago. Similarly I do think it gives him a low-ish ceiling if he doesn't add new stuff to his game. I was mostly focusing you saying that you can't imagine him averaging 20 ppg. He's already doing that this year.
How can you say he hasn't added anything when he's a far superior shooter now than when he joined us? He's off to a good start and will probably get more comfortable. Making over a third of 2 attempts per game I believe. If he has gradually and intentionally improved to 34% on 2 attempts for the season, he really elevates a tier as a scorer. He's a small improvement away in 3pt shooting from becoming an elite offensive C. His defense is also improving. These are all new dimensions and he's making steady improvements.
I'm not sold on the shooting but we'll have to wait and see. He is still doing the thing where he pump fakes while open at the three point line and then passes it away. But on the other hand, after tonight, he's shooting 43% from 3 on the season. The sample is just so low, but I hope you're right. I think I saw a quote where he said he is slowly building confidence in his ability to shoot but it's still hard for him. I'll happily blame Silas for that one. I haven't been too happy about the free throws, though. So yeah, we'll just have to wait and see. The samples so far are just way way too small. I do appreciate the improved defensive effort, too. No notes or complaints from me on that.
No, I dont see him turning into a 20+ ppg score or avg 3bpg...You still didnt answer what do you see him getting better at?
You don't have to be tired anymore lol. BTW if you can get Giannis or Luka for all the young core you should do it no questions asked. Cmon lol.
